Out of all the young forwards, Rupert is already the best shooter, passer, and playmaker. On top of that, his defensive upside is insane. It kind of reminds me of a young Nic Batum.

@@simeon8967 he was measured under 6'5 at the combine lol I think you can tell the difference between Sharpe and everybody you just named. Again, it might make sense if you had big guards, but all of our guards are undersized. Sharpe can't play the 3 for this team, point blank.

Rupert should be playing at least 20 minutes a night. We should send Murray back to the G League until he get his outside shooting back. They should have Kris Murray Jack up 20 threes a night in the GLeague until he regains his Iowa Stroke which is supposedly the reason the Blazers drafted him in the 1st round.

prettiest jumpshot on the roster, not due to the form but his arc is so high that it looks like going in every time. Dude also isnt the worst defender on the roster and can actually handle the ball and make plays for his teammates, something the blazers have been looking from the forward spot for such an long time. The only downside is having guys like grant making 40M, Thybulle 12M, camerra developing in the same position so getting 30 minutes to see rupert flourish still feels far away.

Why exactly would the Blazers want Rupert to be a secret? It's likely that Billups rewards players who work the hardest and show the most in practice. It's called a meritocracy. This happened to Brandon Aiyuk his rookie year when Kyle Shannahan didn't think he was committed enough in his preparation, work ethic and effort in practice. He was basically in "The dog house" Since the Blazers clearly have more invested in Rupert and his development, Billups likely has good reason to play Minaya ahead of him. Sometimes coaches do different things to push and motivate and coach individual players. I'm not saying this is the case but there is what Billups believes to be good reason behind his decisions, whether they end up being the right decision or not, he wouldn't make roster decisions on a whim

Just noticed their numbers, Rupert's 72 and Batum's 88 are 16 apart... basically a 16 year difference in getting the 2 players on the court for this team. RUPERT HAS A PERFECT NBA WING FRAME. Toumani and Rupert can become an elite duo.

I like Rayan Rupert as a late to early second round pick. I thought he can be similar to Mikal Bridges, but a better passer. Excuse me but Toumani Camara is being played out of position. He was often used as a post player at Dayton. He’s got post up moves where he can finish ambidextrously. I see him standing in the corner on offense. three point shooting is not his strength. Billups is not coaching to his strengths!! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤬🤬
