You basically described everything about what I think of Blaziken in this game. Lackluster in field phase, slow laggy moves that are rendered unsafe in nearly every situation, but the thing that I love the most about him is his high risk high reward strategy. He may have trouble getting in at first glance, but when he DOES get in... the gloves are off. Despite his flaws, he's so coddamn fun to use

This is EXTREMELY useful. A ton of combo videos exist, and yea, that's nice, but actually knowing how to go about PLAYING a character is much better. Hopefully you plan to do guides on other characters in the future. :D

Blaziken is my Secondary, and this is amazing. I hope you'll do more for other characters, including my main, Croagunk.

BadIntent Understandable. I understand if it's too much work to do, but perhaps collabing with well known mains of characters for videos? Just throwing ideas out, I really enjoyed this sorta character guide segment.

Gracias sir I added two of your playlist to my library because they're very informal and interesting playlist you created sir you really are invested in pokken tournament if you didn't create these two playlists for the first time I just got the game for $40 at a flea market freshly packaged and I've been invested in it ever since I went into the practice dojo in game so now I'm like super duper invested in it

I know this is me as a novice Blaziken player being facetious or whatever, but from the matches I've played, regular Brave Bird is mostly useful for countering mid range approaching moves like Metal Claw or Shadow Mewtwo's 6X or similar "ramming" type moves. It loops and misses, then puts you much closer to the wall and in an advantageous position. EDIT: Also, regular Brave Bird will actually go through some counters that EX doesn't, usually in field phase though. It mostly happened against Scizors using their long range counter as well as a few other times, but I've seen it happen multiple times whereas I get hit with EX cause it's actually TOO fast. But again, this is most likely just me not being good or them not being good. Again me being facetious but I think your notes on the situational moves mostly stem from using them in neutral only as offensive options, which explains why you basically just said "never use regular Brave Bird". If you want to make a basic guide to moves, why not explain what the moves can do? If you wanted to tell a player that despite the small application of this move it still has its uses, I guess as a way to not say "just spam this move!", why not put a five star "importance" category for each move. Like EX Blaze Kicks would be 5 star and Brave Bird/6XXX/RL X would be 1 or 2?

Interesting ideas. I believe that some moves really are bad or can be used in a way that other moves do the job much better. Fortunately, other perspectives exist so if you find success with 6XXX or Brave Bird in neutral then I must salute you!
@norsehorse846 жыл бұрын
thanks, and I do find some marginal success with 6X in neutral mostly as a gap closer/baiting tool similar to 8X, but the Brave Bird example isn't really neutral, but a reactionary tool. Or maybe I'm reading neutral as just "no one has pressed move buttons at all". But note I'm just telling you this more for your guides than your playstyle, cause I think you are great and you have been my main inspiration for picking Blaziken. :) EDIT: Another thing you can note is maybe a niche use of regular Blaze Kicks or Sky Uppercut (or any regular Poke Move that can be comboed into) is to save health on finishing moves. For example, usually if a combo ends in Blaze Kicks (most likely wall combo), the scaling is so bad that the HP recoil actually isn't worth the marginal damage increase, so using regular Blaze Kicks in that instance is probably better to keep you topped up. Just a little efficiency I guess, but this again, this is more theorycraft, yet I have done this strategy in order to keep myself from dying too quickly in actual matches at some points.

I'm etching mentally hard like an etch sketch lol these combos is action dojo and combo dojo in game makes you repeat the action and the combos over and over again until it like burn through the core of your brain then yes that's what I'm doing so I don't have to look at the move list it's etch in my mind
