Little clarification...Aizen said he has 20 brothers and sisters, Menos transformed into Arrancars...but he didn't said they were Vasto Lorde yet...However, just the threat of a few made into Arrancars at this point in the story, is nightmarish for Soul Society in the weaken state they are. Now one of the fun part of the show is to know...which one are Adjuchas and Vasto Lorde ?

A couple of the Spanish terms do not really make sense when translated. Here are the rough translations... Vasto Lorde - roughly translates to Great or Powerful Lord Arrancar - is a verb that means To Remove or Tear Off (Referencing the mask) Hueco Mundo - World Inside a Hole Menos Grande - doesnt really make sense, but could mean something akin to 'Less, Therefore Greater' (referencing that many hollows come together to make a stronger entity) Hierro - The subtitles were incorrect when it said Ichigo cut though the big guy's Hierro (not Cero as the subtitles said)... It means Iron (Referring to their skin that is as hard as Iron)

I don't remember if the 15 on Ichigo's door has been prominent before, but here, they clearly show it front-and-center. Ichigo has that tag on his door, because it's a pun on his name. "Ichigo" is "strawberry", but the two parts of his name separate into numbers. 15 in Japanese is "Juu-go", but taking just those two individual numbers, you have "Ichi" and "Go".

[Tidbits & Clarifications] - In regards to the Hollow system. Menos have 3 separate natural states of being Gillian being the 1st, Adjucha being the 2nd, Vasto lorde being the 3rd. the phrase "Arrancar" is made for ANY Menos that's been evolved through Aizen. So a Gillian or an Adjucha can be turned into an Arrancar and appear Human-like but they are not Vasto Lorde. At the end we see that aizen has 20 Arrancar, we do not yet know if all 20 Arrancar were Vasto Lorde class before meeting with Aizen, which going by what Toshiro said it's unlikely because naturally occurring Vasto Lorde are rare.

Ikakku's voice actor *was* Vic Micnogna (Edward Elric, young Obito Uchiha, Broly) but after a series of sexual misconduct allegations in 2017 his career is for all intents and purposes dead. I think in the new TYBW series he's replaced with Todd Haberkorn (Ling Yao)

A simpler take, beyond hollows like grand fisher and them, there's the menos class, comprised of the gillian (big black hollows😂), adjuchas (regular looking hollow, just much smarter, faster and stronger 🎶), and then there's the vasto lorde. What we know about these so far is they're human sized and are even more powerful than a captain class shinigami, we just don't know how much stronger. Then an arrancar is basically any hollow, no matter the class, who has aquired soul reaper like powers by tearing off their mask. So any hollow can be an arrancar really.

''Like the Akatsuki.'' Hurts the depths of my nerd soul lol. Phantom Troupe is where the inspiration came from (also for Akatsuki). The HxH manga did it first in 1998. A collection of likable ''deep'' villains written by HxH's author Togashi. Kishimoto (Naruto) did it after being inspired by HxH and created the Akatsuki. Then Kubo (Bleach) did it after being inspired by HxH as well. Kubo was also heavily inspired by another Togashi work: Yu Yu Hakusho. Ichigo is heavily inspired by YYH's Yusuke and the entire premise of Bleach is heavily inspired by YYH. And there's also tons of HxH elements in there. The Espada are even numbered like the Phantom Troupe were. The Akatsuki weren't.

Sadly Naruto is popular so people tend to think it invented most of the plots even though they know it came out later and even though they know it’s full of filler in slow paste. People always look at it most fondly versus something like Hunter X Hunter, where people get angry, because a narrator spoke a lot, HXH has no filler really but got the bad end of the stick maybe because it’s shorter and people don’t have time to get as in love with the characters or there’s less fighting or it’s not as simple as the other shonen. They’re all great though.

@@nichescenes The critique HxH gets is always laughable to me. People just go ''narrator bad'' and ''CA arc pacing is bad'' While there really wasn't anything wrong with its pacing. They just want to see quick fights and have no patience for the story to build and characters to get developed. People hate the subplots of Ikalgo and Welfin for example while their stories add so much to the humanity of the ants and understanding Meruems growth through them. They are also great characters on their own. While ''narrator bad'' is ridiculous because I don't think those people understand that the way the narrator is performed and written is very poetic and adds a lot to the story telling. A lot of his dialogue is extremely poetic. And his acting performance is also amazing. Which English dub viewers also miss out on. They also hate on things like Kurapika's power and Gon's powerup while they misunderstand them. I could write pages about how well executed Gon's transformation was and how it wasn't an asspull. Its like people watch these series with 1 ear and 1 eye closed.

My goodness are you my soul animal lol. I agree 100% in fact i couldnt write it better myself. if i tried. Those are the biggest @@Yusuku criticisms of the arc and i never see those same people do a fair judgement that takes into account the good dramatic drama and storytelling elements for a shonen in jump. Like I know its pointless since Opinions and all, but the mere fact that he as an author influenced so many mangas these same people love and they tend to think everything post york new arc is bad...(I also think people choose a peak for a series and stick with it as being where they drop it mentally and call everything after "where it fell off" instead of realizing stories have dips in dramatic tension or they'd lose effect. (people sorta got this example when the great JJK arc that culminated in a forshadowed series of attacks and they got annoyed cause it was too fast and taxing (tramas). But im using that as an example since that series seems the most influenced by hxh writing style while not completely getting why hxh works (not saying hxh is perfect the writer seems to not even want to be as he inserts things for fun but i do think they evolved as an author vs their contemporaries (in shonen jump) super fast. I think jjk's author has the same potential and just grew up in an era where hype and fast pacing matters alot to keep tiktok brain attention (myself included). Anyway i could write forever about how i feel about jump authors (i think of them as wrestlers fighting for the title lol) and tons have genius potential in certain aspects (dbz panelling in fights without trying) one piece (world building), hxh (sick boy stats reroll again), jjk (the new kid who learned from the greats and has alot of potential, chainsawman (who let this kid in class he skipped half of them and passed most test and keeps drawing i love you teacher on my paper), XD. Anyway yeah I do agree the pacing and narrorator can be offputting but I love hxh for the reason others don't. I love exposition dumps on power systems and mechanics and im happy togoshi still does as the current meta is all show dont tell which makes stuff like (fairy tail pulizer prize) I use this example alot since all the hate for series like jjk can boil down to people would love fairy tail cause its the complete opposite and we used to clown it for that. Would love to hear more on your opinion of other arcs.

okay.. the dub made a mistake, they pronounce it wrong.. their class name "Adjuchas" if you say that properly, its more like when you say adjudicate + i assume you are familiar with the expression: "Mi casa su casa" you take the word casa, and remove the a from the end. thus you end up with Adju- from adjudicated and +cas aka Adjucas.

There’s so many writers who have different interpretations of how to deal grieving, and self doubt, some give their protagonist time, others tell them to get back up as fast as possible. I think it depends on the individual, but I’m okay with how they deal with Ichigo because he’s the type who can get back up quickly. There’s Luffy and Naruto who really need time to mourn. Although characters like Rukia really need reality checks sometimes and to figure out no situation is as simple as it appears. She doesn’t have a hollow and she didn’t face the same threat Ichigo did. Also I find it impressive how anyone find something “alluring” about Rukia. Not just the show but her fanbase, her hips are the size of one of Orihime’s thighs. But they act like Ichigo could be seduced by her. Not that her design is bad or no one finds her unappealing it’s just that she doesn’t have many sensual traits to put it that way.

For the record Bleach has some of the best filler in the entire medium of anime. I think you guys kind of got off on the wrong foot since Naruto filler is literal garbage. The Bount arc wasn't good but there's 1 filler arc that I would say is easily just as good as some of the best canon Bleach has to offer.

He explained the arc that he got a lot of information from as he said he read essays from the fans, but explained it like it was just whatever even if it was a good story, explaining it like that would make it sound bad and I think they just automatically assume all fillers bad so they like to put it down but if they explained this arc in the story like it’s just a bunch of fights in a society and some garbage, it would sound bad I actually think because it’s taste differently. They enjoy the filler with the fake spirits more than the actual anime but because they skip filler all the time they’ll never see it. Funny enough some people don’t like jujitsu Kaisen as much as older shows because there’s not a lot of downtime for filler so it feels like a lot of fights back to back and it gets them exhausted. Sometimes a balance of both.
