This episode has been in copyright hell for actual years. In the process of getting it back we almost lost the entire channel three times due to rejected disputes becoming copyright strikes, and it's been permanently rejected each time over the course of three re-uploads. Each time we have to under-go several claim disputes at a time, each individual dispute requiring up to three months to resolve and if ANY didn't go through at any time, that instance of the video was permanently locked down. This could happen for the most mundane of reasons, including but not limited to whomever whomever happened to be reviewing our dispute just happening to be in a bad mood. Getting this back is a major victory for the channel and a personal victory for me (hey, Logan here. Really happy right now). That this episode was down has been a major blemish on the channel and one of the most demoralizing things we've ever faced, and we're VERY happy to have it return. We're going to move on to trying to get episode 7 and episode 17 back in the same capacity. They are single-claim videos and thus easier technically, but we prioritized this video since it was something of a point to get it back.

In all honesty it kind of makes sense why it wouldn't work on those seemingly important (as most of the people she faces are veteran fighters). Soi Fon's group specializes in stealth and assassination and being Captain she's practically the best at it, so while her attacks can kill someone in two hits it instantly shows the weakness of it if you're smart enough. What I mean by saying that, is that any seasoned fighter will know she would try to go for a second hit in that same place as the first time and that could spell danger despite not knowing what she can do. It's probably one of the reasons why it's hardly ever successful; that and it would leave her wide open for an attack because I imagine such a powerful ability requires precise precision.

The fact that she would tell anyone of this weakness is strictly for the viewer's benefit, and doing so while in combat with someone she intended to use it on is ridiculous. The fourth hokage was literally the only ninja in the series to be labeled as "run-on-sight" and practically won the whole war himself. The Hyuga clan (even Pain decided to attack whilst the entire clan was out of the village) and Uchiha clan (before the slaughter ofc) were two of the strongest clan. The Sarutobi clan was OP, shit, Asuma was literally one of the 12 guards of The Feudal Lord. Kakashi's dad was a well known OP ninja not to mention Kakashi himself who became a jounin at 10 (by comparison Naruto became a genin at 12). Guy sensei could open the eighth gate (was well known for consistently using the seventh gate) and manhandled Madara for a lil' bit. They birthed the legendary sannin (emphasis on legendary). Also the whole war arc was a fight of all the villages vs three leaf ninja (Madara, Obito, and Kabuto). So like, what? Lmao

@Forever Outraged Yeah, but in part one of Naruto the third hokags was literally referred to as God of Shinobi and recognized as the strongest of all the five kage not the hokage. During the third shinobi war the fourth hokage was the only ninja that villages said: "if you see this dude, run" Literally no other ninja from any other village had such a warning and impact. Nerfed doesn't take away their influence in the series lol It just means they wouldn't win fights against main characters for plot purposes; regardless, in the lore they're still considered dangerous. No other village has standout clans like that lol The whole reason the Leaf village got together is because the two strongest clans in the land got together (The Uchiha and Senju) and formed it with other powerful clans. Shit Hashirama captured ALL the tailed beasts and to flex on the world gave everyone their very own and kept the most OP for the Leaf. Also, in the war arc Hashirama states Obito is stronger than him, Obits later gets beaten by Madara, who then gets clapped by Naruto. Naruto was the strongest Hokage not Hashirama; and Sasuke is considered his equal so it's a given he was stronger than Hashirama as well therefore also another OP ninja born from the Leaf. The Leaf village was literally written to be OP from the jump lol

@@thevoiceinyourhead7215 yea, characters lie about their powers all the time, but giving someone your fighting any indication of your abilities, especially how they function, is just bad strategy. Take soifeng for example, if she struck someone with her shikai, then said "oh, hey, btw, my weapon kills instantly if I strike the same place twice", now they know not to let that happen. She stays quiet, and suddenly they're having a freak out fit trying to figure out what the butterfly tattoo is doing. Just better to not say anything and give your opponent nothing to work with.

I mean, most of the soul reapers weren't " bad" in the traditional sense. Only Aizen, Gin and Tousen started and stayed as true adversaries. A lot of the soul reapers were just assholes. They were conceited and jaded from their high positions, and also too cowardly to go against stupid rules to do what's right. Ichigo doing what he did with his friends took down everyone's ego a peg and that was the start of real change, a change that you really start appreciating at the end of the fullbring arc. While it isn't enough in my opinion, it is nice to see, especially compared to the zero squad in the tybw arc.
