Knowing the Hollow side of Ichigo is the real Zangetsu makes these scenes were they’re battling so different in hindsight. Hollow Zangetsu was trying to tell him, trying to get through to him the whole time.... With a lot of swords and fighting.... Because it’s Ichigo....

Year late but still gonna say this. I think Zangetsu was crying for help sort of, trying to make ichigo realize the deceit and open his eyes. Think about it, his Quincy powers basically stole Zangetsu's identity and forced him to the side when all Zangetsu really wanted was to help ichigo live and realize his potential. incase you guys want the horse and king scenario explained. The king rides the horse because they both have instinct. When the king rides the horse they perform optimally. If the king carried the horse, they'd be slowed down and much less combat capable. When the horse carries the king, they are faster, stronger, and optimal. Its instinct to rely on the powerful, the king needs the horses speed and the horse needs the kings protection. Ichigo was the king to afraid to rely on his source of power, and so the horse had to do his job for him.

@Crystal Kanashii it is to have a different form of instinct. Both have this understanding to rely on one another to be most effective in the given situation. The king to ride his horse and rely on the key powers of the horse while the horse would rely on the king for his guidance and skill. The horse has an instinct to ride forward and utilize itself to best complement the king. The king must maintain his horse and utilize his tools to deliver the best form of attack or what have you. If the king has no instinct to do his part then the horse has to do it for him making them sitting ducks. If the horse doesn't ride the way the king requires then they're also just sitting ducks. I didnt cover some things and there's a better fleshed out comment above but that's the gist.

The king can't carry the horse in battle because it would slow them down to a crawl, and despite the horse being bred for war and having a strong instinct for battle/domination, it needs the king because it can't fight a war on its own. From White's point of view Ichigo was a weak king trying to carry the horse on his back due to a fear of relying on another's strength, their whole mental battle was about getting Ichigo to accept help from his real sword spirit not "Zangetsu" and once he did he was able to hollowfy.

(minimum spoiler) Because Kenpachi was so fucking strong as a kid nobody ever stood a chance against him. But when he fought the first Kenpachi, he realised he enjoyed fighting, so to enjoy it more, he subconsicously decided to seal his power to the ground. Every time he has a near death experience, his original power is released, giving him the power ups like seen in Nnoitra battle. That's why Kenpachi who drawed with Ichigo could beat Nnoitra who far outclasses shikai ichigo

This episode honestly makes me hype to see how they execute Hallow Ichigo against Ulquiorra, and when Ichigo faces him again along with Zangetsu when he trains for the final getsuga (If this abridge team works that far, I can only pray). The way the portray White Ichigo is comedically perfect, but as well impressively accurate to original version. To hear all the shit he'll talk in future appearances can only be amazing, and is something I personally can't wait to see.

The noises that Hollow Ichigo makes as Ichigo's possessed body attacks the Vizored's is still cooler than most of the noises he makes in the actual show. There's echoing warbling screeches and then there's... whatever the hell the show's was. At least in the video games they make Ichigo's possessed body make intimidating noises. In the anime the most intimidating noise he made was probably the low growl he did when first entering the then fan dubbed 'Vasto Lorde' form and the roar he made after that.

At 11:29, I never realized that Zangestu's hand turned human when merged with Ichigo's energy. I think even back then the show was trying to show us that Ichigo and Zangetsu (Hollow spirit that took the form of Ichigo in his inner world. Ichigo's idea of "his own power") are two sides of the same coin.

Well, even in the show White told Ichigo multiple times "I am Zangetsu"...unfortunately, his master, like most of the audience, didn't believe it. 💔 Personally, always kind of thought he might be telling the truth. Hollow mask + powers saved the day quite often for someone who was supposedly just trying to take control of Ichigo's body...🤔

This is my favorite episode of Bleach (S) Abridged. Hollow Ichigo is pretty much my favorite abridged character.... I keep coming back to watch this one episode over and over while waiting for the new episodes.

I firmly believe that kenpachi was not planned to be the third spirit. But kenpachi decided he was going to be. So there he was and white just didn’t want to admit he failed twice.
