This collaboration is amazing, the back and forth between both of them and the contributions they both bring to the discussion are very well balanced. YZangetsu used blut to stop the bleeding, and the shadow ability to time freeze before taking him into his inner world. YZangetsu for sure used quincy abilities to help Ichigo vs Kenpachi.

6:25 The part about this I really liked in the anime was how Ikumi Unagiya gives Ichigo his badge back and after Ichigo thanks her then he says "Dad, I'm going" with his Dad standing behind him and Ikumi right in front of him unable to see his Dad in Soul Reaper form so she must be like "wtf.....is he talking to me? Where are you going? What's going on?"

5:05 this is actually a pretty solid guess because in the short teaser for S2 that we got, you can hear Shinji say the voice line he has in Brave Souls when he uses Bankai. Not that his Bankai would be very effective 1v1 against Bazz B, but I’d still love to see it in the anime haha.

That’s what I think too. And Oetsu says that he makes his Zanpakuto out of the souls of Shinigami. So what if that soul that Oetsu used was, in life, a Quincy?

Oh baby I’ve waiting for this. Also in the Dub Yhwach’s identity and relationship to Ichigo will probably be easier to figure out considering their VA has a unique and specific voice. The Ichibei cover up could be a retcon, but I still remember the anime did mute Yhwach name when he met Ichigo all the way back then. So it might mean Kubo knew what he probably wanted to do with the old man with the visor. About the girl who uses her teeth as a hammer, I’m guessing her body is stronger than most metals and uses them as weapons, and if that’s the case then clearly using her teeth the most assessable bone, it’s probably the clear choice for her.

I must say, having you guys together my two favourite Bleach KZbinrs is such a treat. And I will agree, Scar is by no means my favourite and it has certainly grown on me but I will always prefer Saihate far more than Scar. Also if Cour 2 does air on July 15th, it will be a treat for me as my birthday is on July 16th.As far as the Inner World scene, I feel like the sky colour is reflective of how he knows everything about himself so his Inner World is it's truest form. I think as far as Tensa Zangetsu appearing younger is more in the fact that ultimately he was Ichigo's representation of Zangetsu (hence changing form) but his Quincy powers were effectively combined already hence why Tensa Zangetsu and Hollow Ichigo merge together or at least that's my interpretation. As for the two Zangetsu, I always think the long one is Quincy and short one is Shinigami/Hollow because I seem to think the hollowed out sword represents a bow, but in reality it's representative of a hollow hole and I only just realized that. But yeah the scene where the entire 'sea' is evaporated was amazing to see. As far as the nature of Dual Zanpakutou, I never really thought about it either with Shunsui and Katen being 'lovers' but I guess you could argue that it's symbolic of loving himself? But it also adds to why he was the perfect opponent for Stark who is very reflective of a Shinigami and their Zanpakutou in how Stark and Lilynette operate in a very similar manner. I do wonder how the cours will be structured but I hope we get a very expanded epilogue (particularly involving how Yhwach is 'defeated').

1:07:00 Oh my god I thought the exact same thing. Why did the Quincy powers change its form when going into bankai. The only reason I can think of is since old man Zangetsu is regulating ichigos powers it affected how his shikai and bankai appears (like ichigo getting a cloak) and his form changes since he is controlling the zanpakuto, different from White who simply wears the bankai same way ichigo does

Q151: I have a question regarding Yachiru Kusajishi. While she is Zaraki Kenpachi's Zanpakuto "Nozarashi", is her being called "Yachiru" the reason why she herself also possesses the Zanpakuto "Sanpo Kenju"? Be it Hihio Zabimaru or Fuji Kujaku, there have been many scenes in which the Zanpakuto could not release their true power unless called by their true names. I am thinking that "Nozarashi" gained the essence of a Shinigami and took form due to being named after the real "Yachiru", name which also led to her obtaining the Sanpo Kenju sword which is specialized in the act of slashing. I am really curious about the identity of Yachiru Kusajishi so it would be great if you could answer my question. A151: Oh, wow! Despite there not even being a single passage written about Yachiru being Nozarashi, I'm amazed that you managed to find all that out! As far as the content of your question are concerned, you are almost right. In addition, Yachiru represents a form of Kenpachi's Bankai that was separated from its main body, and which gained the power of a Shinigami upon receiving a name from Kenpachi. The true embodiment of Nozarashi is that of a grown woman. Just imagine Zangetsu and Tensa Zangetsu, that should make it easier to understand.

I think the new fight may be Ukitake vs Robert Accutrone. Also, about the Omaeda scene. It was actually changed from the manga. Originally Mareyo was asked by another older brother named Marejirosaburo Omaeda. He offered to read Mareyo a book, but Mareyo says his books are creepy. The guy gave a definite creepy vibe and the little girl wanted to get the hell away from. I’m glad they changed it to what we got in the anime.

The first time I've heard "Cour" used with English translations was for Mushoku Tensei; apparently it's taken from Course like "4 course meal". Most earlier translations have labelled them as "part" which is also correct: So now it's up to whoever is translating it to decide which fits better.
