The weird thing about Yhwach’s comment about Bazz B becoming a genius only thanks to Jugram’s influence is the fact that Bazz B was already a genius for making a Helig Bogen at such a young age before even meeting Jugram. Does that mean Jugram made him MORE of a genius than he normally would’ve been?

honestly it would be so easy to make Yhwach a one note Big Bad Evil Guy but the glimpses we see of him in the past are three dimensional but still VERY corrupt. The way he manipulated Jugram AND Bazz in the flashback, using Bazz's arrogance against him, drawing in Jugram with a version of "youre special/chosen" after having killed both their families, seeing Jugram advocate for Bazz and then forming a rift between the two... and the effect it all would have on Jugram specifically, coming from an abuse situation. Actually turns my stomach. The implied abuse is JUST enough, both on the cute/precious comment from his uncle and in the way Yhwach puts his hand on his head... just such well done storytelling without needing the characters to really SAY anything. Even Bazz's anger is more about betrayal than revenge in the end. The way Jugrams sword seems to be weighing him down at the end.... This might be one of the best episodes of Bleach, period.

Considering the existence of the Ishida's and Kang Du being pretty Chinese I think it might be outright saying he at minimum took over all of Eurasia to have Japanese and Chinese Stern ritter I don't think Yugo killed his uncle, it's meant to be a representation of the Balance, both him and Bazz lost their family but while it was bad for Bazz-B it was good for Yugo I wonder if Ichigo is meant to be the modern day Jugram, he is a Quincy we never see make a bow

considering that Ishida is the genius who couldnt do vollstandig before Yhwach's power up...one more parallel between Jugram-Bazz and Ichigo-Uryu. I still like idea that Jugram kinda had a moment where he couldve saved his uncle and chose not to, that fits with the balance too because its a decision.

Always mind your friends like you never know who is hurting out here or helping you when you don't even know it. Bazz was so self-absorbed that he missed Jugo was likely getting m*lested by the Uncle and that his power creep was due to Jugo not his own "genius". He notices the former he would have seen that Yhwach's attack was beneficial to him, in contrast to what it was to Bazz.

The backstory of Bazz and Jugram’s friendship made me really emphasize more with Jugram. He was essentially a lost puppy with no talent, even after befriending Bazz. Even after Yhwach reveals that Jugram is his other half, Jugram looks to Bazz (his friend) for guidance, only to receive contempt in return. If their goals had been aligned, Bazz-B would have been happy that just one of them had gotten close to Yhwach. However, the fact that it was the "defect" and not the "genius" who succeeded flipped that expectation on its head. Even if Jugram were to improve, Bazz would still see him as inferior. This perspective suggests that Bazz mostly saw Jugram more as an underling than a friend. Understandably, Jugram would choose to follow the man who finally recognized his worth and gave him purpose after a betrayal like that.

I didn't think much of Hashwalth until I read Bleach again. His character is interesting, but he's stoic and introverted, so he didn't really express any of that until he fought with Uryuu later on. He's furious with Uryuu, or rather himself, because Uryuu is similar to him, but he chose his friends instead of Yhwach. In the end, Hashwalth does keep his promise to Bazz-B when his duty to Yhwach is already done by telling Uryuu to transfer his wound to himself while holding Bazz-B's button until the end
@morganhelms8080820 сағат бұрын
Tbh I think you're over flaming Jugram, he doesn't need to be a super dynamic developing character, Kenichi certainly isn't, but realistically his whole thing is balance so he's gonna come off stoic and thinking before doing anything and pretty straightforward overall. He served his purpose really well and this helps flesh out pretty much every decision we see him make through the series so I think he might not be the most in depth character but that's not his purpose and he serves as a great foil for Uryu and Ichigo

The bruisings on his arms specifically and the "my precious Jugo" line... I don't like the implications of that... Another way you could interpret it is that he's going with Yhwach because he's the one who indirectly saved him from his predicament. From Haschwalth's POV, revenge is something Bazz-B wants. He himself has no real purpose, and here come Yhwach, the man who not only relieved him of his burdening life but is also giving him a purpose. Also, since Bazz's whole deal was to get revenge on Yhwach, why would he be genuinely surprised by Yhwach's betrayal? Him, of all people, should've expected some form of retaliation after trying to kill him once before.
@RUS1238899117 сағат бұрын
These 4 quincies who were with Yhwach were confirmed to be Schutzstaffel 1000 years ago, which is why they're always with Yhwach and were with him during peace talks with Ichibei. So while Sternritter didn't exist, Schutzstaffel existed even back then. And there weren't any Schrifts back then. Schrifts happened only way later, as Lille was the first to get Schrifts. Just because they were sternritter back then doesn't mean Schrifts existed back then.

I totally agree and I said this in Mr. Tommo's review. But not just Jugram. I feel nothing for this relationship because its not presented in a way to make me care. One of my biggest gripe with TYBW is there's less on character development and is just an endless string of boss battles. People tend to forget that Bleach was not going in a good direction overall reception wise during the manga's final years. And I think if Kubo really wanted me (personally) to care he would have made Bazz and Jugram stand out more than 3 chapters worth of flash backs. Making Jugram more than a bishounen robot would have helped as well. Even though in the end Jugram DID/DOES care about his friend that is not how we're fed this content. Instead it looks like Jugram never cared about Bazz and was dragged along for a revenge ploy but it didn't matter because Bazz couldn't stand the idea of his friend getting their physical god's acknowledgement over him he actually becomes jealous. So all this talk about "friends" feels empty to me.

Yeah, i saw that “friend” ending and i literally felt nothing. TYBW feels like a Naruto ultimate ninja storm game, where you have cool battles with very little story. All i saw in this episode was 2 villain fighting against each other and one of them dying, with an okay backstory, but not enough for me to care. I hoped the anime would take its time to expand on scenes like this too, but seems like extended scenes are only for bankais, which are cool, but don’t add much. At this point i’m just hoping Ichigo’s new bankai gets some time to shine before Yuha breaks it in half while also preparing myself for the silver arrow bs.

Don't forget, Yubaboongas can see the future. So he probably saw the fashion and the weapons and was like "yeah, that's mine now."

I think part of it is also that, because of the connection with Reio's left hand, Quincies represent advancement. They're visibly advanced and have all kinds of mechanical weaponry to contrast the Shinigami representing stillness and stagnation.

To me, Jugram didn't need any characterization upon to this point. If everyone shines throughout the story, the story would be blind.

This is a nitpick but I have to get this off my chest. Ok so this takes place 1000 years somewhere in “Europe“, so why are the soldiers wearing late 19th or early 20th century uniforms and guns. Should they be wearing armor and fighting with swords or bows.

I feel like your points toward inaccurate timeline is unfair, when has Kubo ever said that the world of living in bleach is supposed to parallel the real world in terms of history and human advancement especially when going back 1000 years ago? even if the world of the living and our world share similarities such phones, cars, schools and other thing's doesn't necessarily mean it has to follow the same rules or history, bleach is a anime after all and is not real, unless our world secretly has a soul society then I don't think comparing the real world to a fictional story such as bleach makes much sense

Jugram as the secondary antagonist getting alot of screentime makes sense imo. Also Toshiro is the goat. I do wonder if Tekkings opinion on him has somewhat changed now or if he likes him slightly more
@VitaliyBoyko-oj4jn21 сағат бұрын
Yeah Jugram's always kind of been meh to me. His entire personality early on is just "Your Majesty." He only became interesting around this point but he was fumbled hard. He's also part of what I consider the worst fight in the series.
@Abdinio-everything21 сағат бұрын
Imo this is one of the best fights. Not a fan of the end of jugram character but kinda get what kubo was doing it. Jugram just feels like a stoic guy but to say shallow is abit meh to me. As bazz b is very typical loud mouth character which we had so many characters like it.
