4:07 yes I have a lot more hair in the back than the front this last time I bleached the back did get more blonde than the rest especially at the two "corners" of my head as the hair overlaps there naturally if you don't foil which of course I didn't so for my roots I had already decided to try back first so it's nice to hear a professional's opinion about that process

ah i remember my white hair days, my exboss in our salon spent a few months getting me to lvl 11, since i have thin european but 3c curly lvl 6 hair, so it was a process. since i've been doing my own hair for years now, it's just pintura highlights or balayage, but i'm so scared of my curls snapping off that i never go above lvl 8. yes, it has happened before, so the paranoia is kinda validated and i always use blondme with 7volume and vibrance toners. hair still attached :) one thing i'll say is the techniques taught for highlighting hair are not generally aimed at curly haired people and since watching more tutorials aimed at natural haired women has helped a lot.

Hi 👋 Bobby amazing video, I thought it was just my imagination about my wavy medium brown hair being easier to lighten in back. So I studied at a wonderful salon in high school and earned some credits. It’s no longer my job, BUT I cannot find a qualified stylist to bleach out my very long very strange hair. It’s level 7 and level 5 fine and course wavy and straight. I paid hundreds for orange w gray patches etc. i had one single stylist but she moved away. I’m forced to do my own hair, I’m sitting in a bleach cap right now. I’m slightly concerned I might lose my back hair so I uncovered it the top and crown is sitting at a horrid bright yellow dark 9 I have 20 minutes until and hour. I put fresh bleach on top wrapped it back up. I do know about fresh bleach. For my long difficult hair I have about four bowls and brushes ready. We all want to know the toner. I can’t find my match on toners. I like sping blossom ion but it’s too drying and should be used on dry hair very damaging. Wella does nothing for my hair except for 24 hours lol. I have been using a purple toning mask and leaving it on for a half hour. I’m not sure how or why but my hair is no responding the same as it used to . I suspect it’s hormonal. I also cannot bleach my hair on my period or it turns orange and won’t lift grosss but true. I am thinking about trying blonde me . I use ion coconut oil bleach powder because it’s so gently that if, I mean when, I overlap, I rarely lose my hair,. I doubt I could manage blonde me as well. I’ll post after and hour. I guess in worst case I rebleach my yellow to banana but I don’t know if my bleach is getting old? Could the powder that’s a year old stored in pretty non humid environment closed lose its efficacy? Idk. I can’t believe it’s only yellow. I did a one to one ration for the stubborn bang area. Not sure what else to try. Your videos are amazing. Not a professional stylist anymore just a customer who can’t find a professional colorist in her area. Thanks

Very obvious to me also, and as a client I would have been upset as this service is expensive, and for this 'professional' to have the opinion that it came out perfect and beautiful is disconcerting. Also, she had done her previous service so to have that much banding even though "it's in the back so she can't see it" (not until she wears her hair up and someone mentions noticing it) is a very sloppy unprofessional attitude.

hi! i have a question: i have really dark/chestnut brown hair thats thin thats apparently hard to bleach? as in it takes long is what my colorist told me. i love platinum on myself but i dont have the time or the budget to get my roots done every 2 months. last time i got my hair re-bleached i grew it for 8-9 months so the length of my roots had grown down to my chin. while we were bleaching everything the point where the bleach lifted clashed with the pre bleached parts and my hair was breaking at those points for almost 4 months 😢 apart from that my roots took way longer to lighten so my colorist had to leave it in for long enough that my scalp was completely burnt. my roots were hard as a rock for a week before i could recover. my question is if this was a lesson for me to never grown my roots out for that long if i want to get a full bleach out? or if my colorist had done something wrong? is there another way to do this without breaking my hair and hurting me? thank you!

@BobbyHairStudio2 жыл бұрын
Her hair is a Level 4-5 correct! What you’ve been taught about 20 volume, usually applies to lifting with permanent color. Although this is said to be a general rule I find that that is not the case. 20 volume with bleach will lift the capacity that it can. You can extend the lift of the bleach by mixing more regularly rather than using an old bowl, using fine sections, using foils to separate the hair and insulated, and mixing your ratios so that you have a Greek yoghurt like texture
