Orange roots, i cant keep track of how many times my roots were a different, warmer color to my ends and it made me want to shave my head everytime it happened. When i applied a toner or color to the hair, it never evened out the color and it typically enhanced the orangey colors on the roots. So I'd end up dyeing it all copper, dyeing it all dark brown/black or bleaching the life out of it. I'm happy with the color now, which is close to my natural and its been that color for almost a year, but the itch is always still there to dye it to something else.

Melting hair is terrible. I got melted hair from a actual “professional” once. She messed my hair up so badly, I find it very hard to believe she even had a cosmetology license at all. It was my first time dying my hair too, so my hair went from extremely healthy, to a melted ugly mess.

You don’t need to cut the hair off to test it. Sure it’s a small piece but it’s completely unnecessary. So much easier to just process that piece first and see how it held up. And then go along with the rest of the hair..
