So i'm a hairdresser, and i'm just gonna give you a few little tips 🥰, your hair came out very cute. Do yourself a favor and skip the coconut oil when bleaching because it's not going to do anything for you lol. It just creates another barrier between the bleach which just ends up requiring the bleach to stay on longer anyways. If you're having issues with yellow tones get yourself a purple toner which is a demi permanent color with 10 vol developer and throw that into the blonde for like 15 to 30 minutes to get rid of all the yellow tones. Next when using semi permanent dyes never mix with peroxide as they are direct deposit colors and do not need any peroxide to get the job done and it just causes more damage and porosity issues for your hair. Finally I highly recommend investing in some olaplex because that stuff does wonders to hair and you only need a tiny amount to get the job done so it should last you awhile! I’m studying to be a cosmetologist and I due my hair all the time just so you know ions semi permanent they actually change the recipe and now it requires some developer it’s super weird as color usually you don’t in all that but yeah they changed the recipe

Please don't mix developer with semi-permanent hair dye! It's not supposed to be mixed with developer but conditioner is okay. If you're going to dye over bleached hair use semi-permanent (which only deposits color), since developer "lifts" the color and you don't need any more lift on the bleached parts. Using developer on already fragile hair can cause more damage and/or breakage. That being said, it turned out really well! I love the red and black split combo. 🖤❤️

You can just use 10 volume developer to mix the semi-permanent dye. It won't lift the the hair, only deposits.

@@infinityxna No, semi-permanent dye doesn't require ANY developer. It's a direct dye, so you just use it as is straight from the bottle. It even says in the directions not to mix with developer.

Oh no girl 😭, do not add developer to direct dyes, it’s in the instructions on the bottle. also adding the purple color corrector may have messed with the color of the dye in the end, perhaps do the color corrector and rinse before applying color next time

Also just thought i'd let you know for next time that bleach just eats through coconut oil, using a serum (eg. olaplex) in your bleach will do more for your hair then coconut oil will (because coconut oil sits on the surface of the hair, it's not small enough to penetrate the follicle). But coconut oil won't damage your hair, it just might mean you would have to leave the bleach on longer

Never get rid of the split! It's so gorgeous, and the asymmetrical bangs are hella cute. Also, your bleaching skills are A+ :D And if you're worried about the colour not all coming out the same, don't be too stressed. The king himself ~Brad Mondo~ did say that it always looks less "home done" when you've got more shades to the colour, as long as it's not patchy. And orange and red can look sick, like fire :D

DO NOT ADD DEVELOPER TO DIRECT DYE!! If the product says to add it then add it but no direct dyes have you add developer because it will eat away at the direct dyes pigments which in the end won’t let it process or saturate right!!! I am a hairstylist

coconut Oil is really bad for your hair actually..it dries your hair out...most people think it does the opposite but this is not true, just because it is oil does not mean that it makes your hair silky. it maybe does look silky after using it but believe me it is not it dries from the inside and can cause your already damaged hair to break off

Coconut oil is really bad with bleach :( In hair school a client came in and didn't tell us she put coconut oil in her hair and it literally started cooking her hair off. So much broke off! As a stylist I will wash someone's hair if they use coconut oil before I color it.

Coconut oil doesn't help. Bleach has to eat through the hair, and the pigment, the oil just adds another layer of stuff for the bleach to go through. So the only thing that it would do is make the process take longer. Hope this helps

Tips for your next root touch up! 1. Start on the back section, that way you can let the hair down and it won't go on the black side or on your face. It's easier that way. 2. Coconut doesn't protect your hair, it just dilute the bleach! No need for it. 3. Braid the black side and put it into a bun, add then a crap load of anything so that the bleach, if it does go on that side, won't bleach the hair. Or just cover the line with plastic something. 4. Pre section so that you don't accidentally overlap and overprocess your hair when you touch it with the gloves and/or tools. This tip makes the process (application) faster! 5. You are doing a great job! Just plan the bleaching process and follow it so that you don't get stressed! Aaaaaand this is why I need to watch the whole video before commenting. Anyways, these tips are universal and you reading this might find it helpful.

What's funny is the only time arctic fox has worked on my hair is when I mixed developer in it. 😂 You're not supposed to use developer in semi-permanent hair dyes, but hey it doesn't hurt
