You are so awesome!!! You are definitely the Mr Rodgers of Jeep Tutorials. That is high praise. You could teach a five year old to work on their car. The quality of your videos, your patience, and clarity of instructions just what I need. And you are very calming. You make me believe I can fix this shit...and then I do! I don't know what I'd do without Bleepin Jeep. Thank you so much! ❤️

Thanks for posting this. I work in the automotive field and even with access to multiple tech sites, it's not easy to track down a step-by-step basic explanation of how to change spark plugs since it is generally regarded as common knowledge - especially on older vehicles (in this case a 97 Cherokee). This helped tremendously for a friend when trying to explain what exactly to do.

Where does one acquire such a spark plug wrench? Also where did you get that nice hose cutter?

Just use a long extension, you should be able to push the radiator hose around a bit.

My '01 Grand has a coil rack (i think thats what its called anyways). all the coils are built into a long rack with boots that go over the plugs. It has 4 bolts that take it off. spark plugs are under that. also never had this issue but how do you fish out the rest of a spark lug if it snaps off? I just hope the solution isn't to drill it out because i know it'll be a bitch to fish anything out of the cylinder if it falls in

There are the magnetic spark plug sockets and I have a set, well worth buying.Don't install the Bosch spark plugs in Chrysler product.Chrysler products run like shit with Bosch spark plugs causing misfires. The platinum tipped spark plugs, don't mess with the gap or you will break the tip off.

the only thing you can mess up is threading the new spark plug in sideways... so dont do that and you should be ok

watch out for taller plugs out on the market they will f you over big time esp if you have a coil rail- the boots wont seat and or coil rail will be cocked or twisted thus not having the pegs at the bolt location seated flush to engine...factory plugs only no wiz bang 90 mile to the gallon plugs..no such thing ever made...look under hood on tag that will tell you everything you need to know... 2001 jeep grand Cherokee fresh built engine 30 over champion plugs new oil pan belt idler pully cam and crank lifters rods water pump radiator t-stat trans lines battery nss/switch crank sensor ...now having rough idle all replaced this week and dropped in and running for 600 miles in 3 days of engine break in... might be fuel that's why iam here...from Detroit the safest place on earth
