Great tutorial! I had a problem that the Cell Fracture output was in the shape of a cube when i applied it to the sphere (Blender 4.0). However, the Cell Fracture worked correctly when i reduced the sphere to half its size (from 2m down to 1m).

This is awesome!!! What I want to do is learn how it take a destroyed object like in this and then reverse the effect and fix it. Think of it like this You have a magic power like the Time Stone in marvel. You break a rock with a hammer and shatter it. Then you use your power and reform object to what it was like earlier (with maybe some cracks in it but never the less reformed.
@blendermania3d
@blendermania3d 3 жыл бұрын
You can simply do that by reversing the animation or frames 😊

Love this tutorial. I wanted to do something like this for some time. I do have an issue with my texture. Once I apply the cell fracture, the inner textures are stretched or scaled differently and I can't seem to find why.
@blendermania3d
@blendermania3d 4 жыл бұрын
Hey A Bmann! Glad you liked the tutorial! Can you try applying the scale of the object before doing cell fracture? Also after cell fracture you can select all the objects and hit tab to go into edit mode and unwrap them again. Another thing to try is adding a seam to the sphere and unwrapping it differently. I can help you more if you go to the official site Blendermania3d.com and post in the forums with some screenshots :)

Thank you so much for this vid, been having way too much fun with the splosions :) If I wanted to keep the shell slightly separated (like frame 3 or 4 of the animation) as a still object, while the rest of the scene animates (orbiting lights within the shell) - what would you recommend? Could I keyframe it to be passive from that frame onwards? What could compliment the forcefield so that the shell would kind of vibrate between two gravitational pulls? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers man :)

I came to the comments to find this exact question. I seemed to have figured it out with just that, another force field. First force field was key framed in strength from 0 - 50 for the first 70 frames. Then the second force field comes in at frame 70 with a strength of -50 to bring the cells back in. Play around with these settings though if anyone is looking to do this too!

Hello! Thank you very much for that tutorial because it is very clear. Nevertheless, I would like to try to make an egg explode for the game I am making, so it's like a very thin sphere because of the hole inside of it (I used boolean,maybe that wasn't a good idea?) . The problem is, it blows up instantly and is too strong even when I put the strenght of the forcefield to 0.001. Do you think there is a solution to that? Thanks in advance! 😄

@orpheus2644

Using the same principle as the light startup. 1 - Select the Force Field object: 2 - Go to the Physics properties of that object 3 - In Force Field --> Settings find the field called Strength 4 - Go to the first frame of the animation and set the strength value to Zero and then add a keyframe to the strength field same as he did with the light. 5 - Go to the a keyframe before the one you want your force field to start at and add another keyframe with strength of Zero. 6 - Go to the actual real keyframe your force field should start and assign the force value of your choice and set another keyframe in it. And that's it The reason for having to keyframes at zero is just to tell Blender to keep the strength value at zero until the real frame it should start . Hope that was clear enough.
