can take a screenshot and send on DIscord? I can't seem to see which part.
@xiashao95443 жыл бұрын
@@NaturalArtFreak I registered an account for discord and tried several times. But sorry it didn't work. If you please turn to 13:20, the NEAREST CORNER ON THE HOOD just next to your GIZMO, which is less than 1mm to your gizmo on the screen. I have the same topology like yours here. But my corner is rounded like yours in the last video, if the subd modifier is turned on. Thank you man, I appreciate your reply!
@NaturalArtFreak3 жыл бұрын
@@xiashao9544 oh i see what you mean, support it with extra edge loops on the sides you'll have triangles at that area somehow but just try to have react with the subd well, it would be great if you could send an image... Also I'm sure i did something like that in the video or i didn't?
@xiashao95443 жыл бұрын
@@NaturalArtFreak I think I might have sent some images just in the group #review-your-work on discord. I'm not familiar with discord. Is this group the right one to send the image? And em, I did check your videos of "part 2" and "part 3". At the end of part 2, the corner is still rounded, which is the same I got. At the beginning of part 3, it's already become sharp. Is your triangle strategy that if I bevel the edges on the face of the "thickness side"? I've send some images to the discord group by the way. Thanks a lot!

Hello I'm beginner newbie in blender. Your tutorial are incredible.i have subscribed to your channel. Now after seeing this video I have a question about shortcuts: you put an loop cut and after you say "e" and "f" e is for extrude and f is for make a face ? Sorry for my English .

Amazing work! But why did you manually extrude the vertices at the grill and vents area ? (22:10 and 22:18) wouldn’t the solidify modifier take care of that?
@NaturalArtFreak4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it would, but we would have to adjust every vertex manually, so to save that time we extruded manually and deleted the excess solidify vertices.

Uploaded it at the right time! Just finished modelling the hood a couple of hours ago but I noticed an issue with it. When I looked at the right side of the wheel well closely (when looking at the hood from it's right) there are two black-grey vertical lines but they are noticeable only with the matcap lighting. Not that big of a problem but still....you know? :/ Do you have any idea on how I can fix it? ANOTHER problem, there's an unselectable edge below the edge I duplicated, so when I'm extruding the vertex (1:37) a curve comes out of nowhere.

you mentioned at the front around the 25 minute mark that there was a mistake that you could correct with a shrinkwrap, what was that exactly? Are you shrink/fattening the control loops instead of sliding them to remove the need for a shrinkwrap? is that the reason you're not simply just moving them on x, y or Z?
@NaturalArtFreak4 жыл бұрын
The triangles we had to create in that area, and yeah I slide a lot to rid the use of shrinkwrap modifier.
@count23all4 жыл бұрын
Slide a lot, is that because the problem when it comes to cutting out of curves that the edge loop bisects a face and if you just slide it closer to the edge you want to control the subd with, it causes deviations and indents into the bisected faces orientation? Is that why i see you shrink fattening other control loops after you slide them closer to structural edges?
@NaturalArtFreak4 жыл бұрын
@@count23all yes, that's exactly why... It won't be visible but if you don't it kinda gives it this slight imperfection around the area.
@count23all4 жыл бұрын
@@NaturalArtFreak right, so shrinkwrap means you don't have to be _that_ careful with the edge loop positions and deviations because it'll snap them to the nearest "right spot" to fix the reflections up, but if you dont use a shrink wrap guide, as long as you shrink/fatten up loops should you move them from the "default" position they're put into when you cut an edge loop in, it'll achieve the same result
@NaturalArtFreak4 жыл бұрын
@@count23all yes something like that, but shrinkwrap gives the best results.
