Alt + q (transfer mode operator) also works in other modes like edit mode.

AutoDesk = Keeps making Sculpting, Modeling, Animation and Importing/Exporting Models a nightmare with each update, REQUIRES YEARLY/MONTHLY PAYMENT Blender = Fixes many issues and makes the software more easier to use even for beginners, IT'S COMPLETELY FREE Seriously, Blender at this point should be an Industry Standard for at least Indie Studios

I think starting with Blender 2.93.3 they added a feature which let you switch objects in sculpt mode by pressing 'D'. This still exists and works but Alt + 'Q' is basically applying the current mode to the object you hover over. So that's new and cool. I didn't know about this new way so thank you very much!
@CosmicComputer3 жыл бұрын
Pressing D doesn't seem to work anymore for me, but the alt+q is fantastic because you can jump into any mode on any object its so cool!

D no longer works. I don't know why. I'd prefer tapping D instead of ALT Q every time.
@pedroivo40843 жыл бұрын
@@mageKnightz Yes, it's just a key, so simple, I was quite used to it, if only we could choose in the settings which key does this, but I looked and I couldn't find it, I think we'll have to get used to the alt + q
@monkey72183 жыл бұрын
@@pedroivo4084 Go into Preferences, then Keymap, make sure "Name" is selected at the top and then search "Transfer Mode". Then you can change it from Alt Q to D or w/e else you like :)

@@monkey7218 Thanks! But in the end using alt q several times i ended up liking this, but i hope those who are not satisfied will see your comment and see how to change it and use D

This essential sculpting feature gets messed with every new release. I had to import the 27x keymap from 2.9 for it to be usable in 3.0

You know this is a feature in 2.9 and all you had to do was press "D" when hovering your mouse over another object in sculpting mode.

Yes, but it was experimental, had to be activated and then it was removed.
