To note, this way of finding intersections is available in Blender without enabling any addons and without having the faces removed, though a bit different. Click the "Auto Merge Vertices" button when in edit mode, in top right, to the right of the X Y Z mirror buttons, and then go to Options to the right of that and check "Split Edges & Faces". Then select your two edges or faces you want to create intersections of, and just tap G then click to cause the auto merge to happen and for the intersections to get proper vertices.

I think you can use the edge snap and select the vertex to "GG" command and snap to the intersection point.

I think instead of Creating vertex it should place empty here so user can handle the rest of thing by his own. It should also allow to make pairs of edges to create multiple expties at the same time as well.

That’s one area where sketchUp is really good at Drafting Blender is way more complicated to use in that regards - sadly! I try to actively direct my students away from sketch up to blender for interior design.

SketchUp is good for beginner and quick worker but it is not as scalable as Blender. Even it is highly destructive by nature, although well polished by frequently used tools.

I'm curious about the interior design workflow in blender. The reasons why we still work with sketchup is : 1.free models library bult in, 2.precision modeling 3. easy documentation.

@@yugi9710 If you are interested we could schedule a zoom meeting and I show you how I use Blender. 1. Free models : you can load them into Blender too - there is also a SketchUp Importer 2. Blender models equally precise. True SketchUp has a guidelines and the basic drafting of lines arc line intersection is more elegant but then when it comes to actually modeling capabilities SketchUp is pretty poor. 3. SketchUps annotation tool is indeed great - similar tools you do have for Blender now too. Blender does not have the Layout App which however I find to be rather disappointing. Blender can export views as images, SVG or DXF and then you can compose all in Autocad.

I just use Knife Project. Use one plane to cut the other and then reverse which one is the cutter. Merge objects together using Control J.

Always good to know about hidden tools but solidified planes are so much faster for walls than working with solids like this.

this is a waste of time. Blender ought to build a real cad program that interfaces with the Blender interface. i came from Autocad background. Autocad 12 from ten years ago is basic enough for blender modeling and should be sort of copied to the Blender system. trying to use Blender as shown here for cad drafting is primitive to say the least.
