Impressive, I actually mainly use UPBGE for game development and they released 4.2 Alpha for UPBGE which includes all of these features and triple A game quality is definitely possible in UPBGE now from my experience:)

This should be doable within the openGL viewport, and with cycles, I mean..quite a few other software can do this, feels it´s a limitation rather than"different" workflow. Coming from Lightwave, its´so much easier to work with displacements, and it has been able to display in openGL for many years, surface displacement, nodal displacement, or deformation displacement, they all work, surface displacement is a matter of setting distance, then in the surface editor just plug any fractal in to the displacement channel, no additional nodes. , eevee next shouldn´t have to be used. The other best thing would just to use geonodes with a proper setup for displacements, it will then work in openGL, in cycles, and you will also be able to see the wires, that you can not do with eevee next. That said, eevee next is nice, but as for displacements..it´s not usable for all cases for best rendering, or other scene context elements, you can not use this with volumetrics so far, since evee next hasn´t got that working, so clouds, fire, godrays...nope.

​@@XrxazelOfficial Have you disabled the overlays? The icon at the top left of the 3D view that looks like a two circles, one filled, one outline. It should be blue. If it is already blue use the drop down to the right of that icon to look at the options for overlays. Make sure Outline Selected is on.
