Hey Everyone. In this video I share a Blender 3d compositing tip on how you can easily add the effect of distant mist overlaying your cg elements in the background of your live action composites. This technique is super simple and can allow for a much more realistic set extension visual effect. Enjoy and let us know what you would like to see next. Hi sir, when will the burning airliner tutorial will out?
@LightArchitect3 жыл бұрын
Hi Unnikrishnan. I'll try to make one soon. We have a lot of tutorials lined up so that one got kicked down the list. We will definitely make one on those concepts though.

Just a tip; there are never an odd number of streaks in real camera footage. If the lens is polished four ways you will get four streaks, but if it is polished five ways you get ten streaks. This rule is generalised; an even number of polish directions produces the same number of streaks, an odd number produces twice as many. It's elementary optics.

Good call. I believe streaks can also depend on the number of blades on the lens element as well. Which can vary from lens to lens. But depends on the types of streaks we are talking about.

@@LightArchitect No, if it is due to aberrations caused by the lens iris blades the rule is the same, for an even number of blades you get that many streaks or double, depending upon how they are arranged, but for an odd number of blades you always get twice as many streaks as there are blades, so there are always an even number of streaks. Sorry I am late (understatement!) with that reply, but it's an important little detail if you want realistic results.

@@FireAngelOfLondon Ah yes you are right. I think I was thinking of the Bokeh shape itself. Wow a 1 year late response though! Comon Fire Angel we expected better of you. :)

@@LightArchitect I've been largely out of circulation due to health issues, just getting back to things at the moment. I have spent a lot of time in hospitals in the last year, boring story and I am glad it's nearly over.
