I am happy to see more designers use Blender for conceptual modeling - when I started teaching it 2018 I was kinda laughed at ;) With Fusion360 or Alias it is such a super application.

Agreed, such a great tool! Crazy how it's taken off these past few years.

I learnt Blender for industrial design looking at your videos. I just tagged you on LinkedIn as the first source to start learning Blender for Industrial Design!

Michael nice to see your including Blender in your arsenal of 3D workflows. This is incredible software I'm enjoying using!

Great chat! Is there a way to get the material configurator shown at minute 39:12 ?

Hi Linkage, Great videos man, can anyone please answer, if the blender settings are configured for accuracy, why can't a model (like the koenigsegg be used to a mock up or a prototype. What does alias have that would allow it to excel over blender. I ask because I have a school project and I'm thinking of learning alias just for this project, or can I just make due with using blender to create a prototype ??

Hey, thanks for the comment! While Blender can certainly be used to create a prototype, its polygon-based modeling won’t achieve the same level of surface refinement you’d get with NURBS software like Alias. Polygon models often result in rougher surfaces, which might be fine for an initial prototype, but if you’re aiming for high-end, polished surfaces, Alias is the better choice.
