Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I am learning Blender 2d animation module as my pre-pencil test stage for my 3d animation procedure, and this video is just what I needed. Great work, dude.

Wow I learned a lot. Thank you. You gained a new sub from me, I will make sure to tell my friends on our 2d animation discord about this channel. I hope you make more grease pencil content. Trying to learn 2d in blender seems ideal for this, especially the flexibility GP offer. I'm trying to learn how to combine grease pencil with 3d background, I hope you can teach me this ❤

Thanks for subscribing! I'm glad you found it helpful. I'm working on a follow-up animation video now, which I should be able to release tomorrow. I've used Grease Pencil with a 3D background before. It works great. I'll see if I can make a video about it at some point. Thanks for watching!

How to apply coloring to all frames. Is that possible.
@davidpikedesigns6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, if you are drawing frame by frame like I did in this one, I don't think you can apply color to all of the frames at once. If you are using a rigged or cutout method, you can by adding a fill to your materials, but you would need to use that same object/drawing across all of your keyframes. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

Disappointed Sorry What if the studio has a coloring department then greasepencil is not the right tool because multicoloring apply to all frames is not possible so toonboom is the only option.?!
@davidpikedesigns6 ай бұрын
I think with some planning, the color options in Grease Pencil are similar to Toon Boom. Once you establish your color palette and use those materials, you can update the colors and it will update across all frames similar to how Toon Boom's color palette works. Maybe I misunderstood the first question.

@@davidpikedesigns then you have to start coloring your drawing. But when drawing an animation you normally color it afterwards. Greasepencil can do mult coor but its fot one color only. You canot do the leg and arm color and then apply to all frames like toonboom can.

I originally thought you can't do that in Grease Pencil, but I found a source that talks about that process. I'll look into it. If it works, I'll create a video about it. Thanks!
