Great! One suggestion, maybe at the end of you vids could you show the entire node layout full screen? That would make it easier for me to check whether I got all the connections and settings correct as I followed along.

wow, I actually understood, followed and made the leather material. Damn dude, you are a master. Thanks for posting this tutorial. I am going to subscribe and binge-watch your videos. Prepare for over commentary. That said I really dig the way you get right into the bones of the issue. I was nervous about the node editor, but this really helped dispel some of my worries. Thanks.

I was at that same point with nodes and there should be a video explaining all texture nodes in under 30 mins and also same for compositor nodes
@joshualuciani38964 жыл бұрын
I think just as a little detail to add on is to mix the roughness nodes with a fresnel effect. Leather isn't always a super reflective material, but at an angle it will reflect, which is the fresnel effect, as I'm sure you already know. Adding in the fresnel would add some realism for sure. Great tut! Thanks!

Awesome and simple 😍😍 Thanks for sharing all these tricks man, if it weren't for you I sure wouldn't be able to make such cool stuff this early in the learning path. Got a question, how did you change your UI colors? I'm not near my PC now so I can't check for myself, but can you change those natively in the preferences or is it a theme you download elsewhere?

You can change every colour manually, or select one of the default themes. You can also download themes others have made. :)

@pikachufan252 жыл бұрын
Noice thanks! saved me time and its also great for learning!. I'm just Repeating what i learn and learned sorry for the blocked of text this is how i learn xD faster hmm so lets starts with basics So Voronoi Texture Offer a Broken Glass Texture which we can Take Advantage off if it and by having 2 we can have one layer one ontop of each other. the bump is well the normals meaning in this case - we add Fake Detail - yes you can draw it yourself but that's a pain xD there's better options like Making Decals out of your Objects. or Taking pictures of the Real life World and Converting those to Decals - or just downloading Free Decals/Stamps online (or buying them), there's others methods too!. like you can convert a image into Decal... okay I'm rambling XD. to do the Ramdomiser thing - in a Nutshell he simply Ramdonise the Coordinate of the Texure so it became ya know "Ramdon" its not 100% perfect but it gets the job done. we combine that to a RGB Node cause?, i have no idea but i guess it offers more Controll over the Quantity that you want to input to the output of the image if that made any sense to ya you, Texture Coordinate and Mapping are Bread and Butter, Texture Coordinate lets you Get the Coordinate of the Object and Mapping lets you get the Coordinate of the UV Textures, or something like that. the whole point is one gets Object and other Gets Textures and with "Magic" you get something out XD. Color Ramp are Used for Adjusting Quantity since blender has no Easier way of setting that up. quickly typing everything to see how many errors i did hmm. hope thats everything XD
