I've bought both, although to be honest haven't had much time to delve into them yet. It's very powerful (Hard Ops especially), but you have to really learn it, and I feel the tutorials are not so great. But maybe it's just me, I can't focus for very long.

Typically the cutter objects have their visibility changed to “bounding box” but you can change it back.

Does the line cut still work in blender 3? I followed the tutorial in the ebook and the standard cutouts worked, but the line one just rendered another object on screen and didn't cut anything out.

@@BlenderSecrets its not snapping, when the carver is on it never snap on vertex or edges or center of face, there is no accuracy for this tool yet when your dealing with accurate measurement carving

@@arthurcorod2720 MeasureIT (free addon) is the answer. It dynamically updates as you move things, so you do not have to draw to proper dimensions when you start.
