Very good tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge :D Just a suggestion: If you enable the Node Wrangler addon that's native on blender, you can bring in any texture (like the noise) and just press CTRL+T when you have it selected and it adds the Mapping and Tex Coordinate automatically. Saves a lot of time :)

this tut is soo good, thx. where did you learn geo nodes like that?
@StrayCreations2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Watching tutorials is a great way to learn geometry nodes. But I've also found that just experimenting with the different nodes helps me understand it a lot better too. Play around with simple setups, for instance a Extrude Mesh, Position/Normal and a couple math nodes. A tip I can give you is use the new (Blender 3.4+) Viewer node as much as possible to get an intuitive understanding of how fields affect your geometry.

So now that the official is out, they aren't available! Any way to get them back in?

great lesson, really! I would like to give this movement a random speed component (floating speed coefficient 0.8-1.2, for example), could you tell me where to insert the random node? This could be useful at long distances, and when duplicating worms...

I'm still trying to set the function to a static sphere in the center like a real worm (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWGVoouwbJh1j7c ) but I can't figure out how to integrate it, very complex tree at the moment for me lol..

3.5 beta - no geometry simulation but opens your project with two red nodes 3.6 alpha version - does the same 3.5 with GS nodes - closes as soon as I try to open your project 3.6 with GS nodes - does the same i'm annoyed. ))) when I try to repeat your actions in existing SG 3.5, or 3.6, my SG nodes look a little different and do not repeat what yours do. Stupid day Very strange development policy, or something is wrong with me
