Hi all. A message to my remaining subscribers; I have been working a lot with 3D software and less with Minecraft stuff. I will be making more tutorials and animated short films unrelated to Minecraft.

My head is spinning trying to follow the logic here. Would it not be easier deciding which vertices to offset by taking a dot product between the endpoint normal and the vertex normal? If it's negative, the vertex is pointing broadly "downward". Then offset in the direction of the endpoint normal. If you need more control use "capture attribute" to grab the spline factor before converting to a mesh and use that to further restrict which vertices can be offset.

It was such a nice feeling to think "ooh we could just use a float curve" after the spline parameter =)

Hey really thanks. can I somehow get this project file and learn more. I am new to Blender

Hi Traahi, thanks for watching. I will most likely make a dedicated node group for the mushroom soon that has full control of all the important parameters. If I do I'll announce it in a community post and/or a video so I'd say keep yourself posted on that :). Although I'd say the best way to learn is to try and follow along and make it from scratch, that way you'll get an intuitive understanding on how geonodes work.
