Haha! Yes. To explain a bit: Power blenders make a whole food juice, meaning all the fiber is pulverized. It's not AS smooth as a fiber extracted juice, but it's close. A blender that's not strong enough via power, blade and jar will leave more texture and can't make a whole food juice. A green smoothie is thicker than a juice and usually has a liquid base of milk/substitute or fruit juice.

The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud kzbin.infoUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!

the vitamix is in my opinion the winner, it literaly liquefies the contents that were put to be blended, they should have used a strainer to show the solid particles that were not completely blended.

Did she intentionally make the ninja fail? She started it a bit late and fumbled with it. Was this to show that it is difficult to operate as well?
@BlenderBabes
@BlenderBabes 8 жыл бұрын
+Aisha Reed The Ninja didn't fail - this Pro model just did not make it as well as the Blendtec or Vitamix. It's not difficult to operate - however the lid and getting the jar on and off the base takes some getting used to. I'd only used it 2x before standing in front of it (not behind it). I am better at it now though! :p I'm currently testing other Ninja models. Can't wait to share our results with you - see our other videos. :)

@@maximusp210 It's because the Ninja has multiple blades throughout the container as opposed to just the bottom like the other two.Honestly, the blades are structured like a food processor or giant onion chopper. I've used a $20 Oster blender from Walmart and get better results that the $100 Ninja. I make smoothies all the time, and wkth cheap blenders you add greens with liquid first, blend, then fruit and blend again. My Nutribullet add everything in, blend. Both of those give smooth results. My boyfriend's Ninja? Never smooth. Always bits and pieces of the spinach or fruit on the side of blender and it's chunky.

I just bought the Ninja Mega Kitchen System a few hours ago. I paid $176 for it as it seems to have everything I wanted. I have to say, I like the texture of it. When I've had shakes in the past, I enjoy chewing some of the strawberries. Being new to the world of smoothies and sorbets, I'm extremely happy with the Ninja. I would say it comes down to personal preference. For the price, I'd say it's beyond perfect for people wanting to enjoy the benefits but not kill their wallet.

Spartan ADV dude. I thought the same thing until I bought a vitamix myself. you hadn't had a real smoothie until u tried a vitamix. I bought the ninja mega kitchen set for $130 from costo. it came with everything. I told myself "I'm not going to spend 300 on a blender. this ninja works just fine" yesterday I returned the ninja to Costco after having it for only a week, and went with the vitamix 5300 that was going for 350. dude I'm telling u. once u use a vitamix u will never look at a ninja again.

Spartan ADV lol I'm dead serious though. I know it's a pretty pricey blender, but you're getting a commercial grade machine. I wasted money buying those $40-$100 blenders. They break and I had to keep replacing them. I'm telling u. Nobody should have to chew their smoothies. Don't get me wrong. Ninja was alright......when I didn't know any better lol. Do yourself a favor and get a vitamix. Trust me. And if the price is too much then u can go for a blendtec instead. They're generally a bit cheaper but produce the same results. U can't go wrong with either brand. I gotta get ready for work now. I'm going to whip up a smoothie to go!

I prefer a thicker smoother, anyway, not just a watery juice, so I think the Ninja will be fine for me. Just bought mine today on sale at Costco with tons of attachments, and about 1/3 of the price of a Vitamix. You kinda acted like you didn't know how to use a Ninja, like you were trying to make it look lame in comparison to the others. It's not that tricky. The newer one is also 1500 watts, which might also make a difference in comparison to the older models.

I'd recommend doing the pour onto the white dish test right after the blending...why? As the mixture sits in the container as you doing the taste test, the ingredients separates giving a false yield. It might also help to do a second test involving items other than soft fruit to fully qualify the blending ability of the three makes. My 2 cents.

How can you compare three different watts? The Blendtec started first, the Vitamix second and the Ninja lady started way later so they really didn't have the same timing - so they need to do the test again.
@BlenderBabes
@BlenderBabes 8 жыл бұрын
+Susana T Hey there! Our goal with this video was to compare the most popular model from each brand, however we do plan to do another comparison test with a higher wattage Ninja soon. :) Blendtec is automatic so it's just a button to press which will start faster than this model of Vitamix. We've tested this before allowing this Ninja to run even longer - to see if it would further blend the ingredients - however it didn't. 90 seconds is a long time to run a power blender - any longer without ice or frozen fruit would begin to heat the ingredients (through friction) - at least with this Blendtec or VItamix - this Ninja doesn't heat. We are excited to share further tests in the coming year! :) HAPPY BLENDING! ~ Blender Babe Tarashaun

+Brittney Burrow Are you sure it was the exact same model? Perhaps there's just too many fibrous ingredients in this particular recipe? But that's good to know! We do NOT think this is a bad blender - we just didn't get the same results as the Blendtec and Vitamix. :)

Because of the metal to metal contact on the Vitamix parts, do you use full sythetic 0W-20 oil to keep the gears cool and lubed? What size of oil filter? Change oil every 3,000 blending cycles?
@BlenderBabes
@BlenderBabes 7 жыл бұрын
Hi, there is actually no need to oil any of the Vitamix parts. This blender has a self-cooling system to help keep the blender and it parts cool and functioning well in between uses.

It does but for 90 secs the vitamix got it to juice. You can have the blend tec consistency by lessening the time of blend on the vitamix. Its souppose to be liquid not smoothie. So what this shows is vitamix is more powerful. I have an old blender i hate having to eat seeds and scrappings i want one yhat can pulverize n leave nothing behind. Vitmaix won

+922Virgo As you may already notice it's not as bad as depicted here, if you run it on setting 3 for longer than they did in the video, it'll turn out fine. The problem seems to be speed and the fact that the blade unit actually gets in the way. A vortex motion is generated within the other models pulling the contents of the pitcher downwards, with the ninja this blade module inhibits this flow. If anything it's simply a flashy design; however the price tradeoff lies in time spent mixing vs pouring.

the 1500 is still a toy by comparison. I think you guys are eqating wattage with quality the same way a teenager equates the quantity of watts in a crappy stereo with quality. There IS a niche for the ninja and bullet, but I'm not in that market niche. And the more expensive ninja and bullet are not appealing to a customer that wants a better low quality product, they are erasing the cost/value difference between the lower cost item and a professional caliber model. For people on a budget that don't need a product that lasts a long time I fully support their choice of the bullet and ninja, but to jack the price up considerably, while still featuring low qulity parts, reliability and service life. That's not smart

This was a little bit disappointing. I have owned a Vita-mix, and I know they are awesome, but I will soon need to replace the one I had, because I lost it in storage. When I saw the blentec on Amazon a little while ago, I thought I might be able to save some money, because Vitamix is rather expensive. The performance of the Ninja is not really all that surprising, but the performance of the Blentec is not what I hoped it would be.

It's so hard to decide! I think I like the blendtec because of the longer warranty. I love juicing, so I wonder if I might replace my juicer and just strain any extra pulp if I'm wanting straight juice. I DO love my omega, though! Do you ladies juice, or do you prefer smoothies?
@BlenderBabes
@BlenderBabes 8 жыл бұрын
Great question Megan! I prefer a whole food (blended) juice. You can absolutely strain it but with a power blender you can get a pretty thin juice consistency without. It's way quicker to use, less produce, no waste and its easier to clean than a juicer. Plus with all the fiber you're keeping you feel more satiated. When I'm sick ill do an extracted juice but 95% of the time I blend!! The Blendtec is awesome YOU WILL LOVE IT!! 👯😘

Yeah how about learning how to use it before making a video that puts the item down. It got short changed on blend time because of the lack of user knowledge. If you did what all manufacturer's instruct READ THE USER MANUAL maybe the test could be fair. It's a shame to see people put a companies product down when clearly they have no idea how to use it. 👎

Chuck Edmond 😊 Warranties are important and a hallmark of a manufacturer and product you can trust! They all seem to have varying warranties. Vitamix has a 10 year warranty on the new ascent models, a 7 year warranty on most other brand new models, and a five year warranty on personal blenders, the Explorian E310, and all certified refurbished Vitamix blenders. Blendtec has a 10 year warranty on the professional 800, an 8 year warranty on all new blenders, and a 3 year warranty on all certified refurbished Blendtec blenders. All are better than the typical ninja purchased from a store which usually comes with a 1 year warranty. If you purchase direct from their website I believe you can add an additional warrantee for a fee.

I disagree with the assessments below claiming the Vitamix liquified the contents. Look closely when they start blending the Blendtec had already emulsified the contents way before the other two. If look at the Vitamix jar when it's removed from the blender you can clearly see that it was not blended as well as the Blendtec (possibly even the Ninja). What you saw was the Vitamix had the liquid rise to the top that's why it looks so light (thin) compared to the other two. The Blendtec is vastly superior to the others it's all I own now. With Blendtec you don't need those stupid plungers as it works so well. Good Luck blenderpersons and GBU
