Hi - What I don't get about these blender tests - is that they often stick to a single time. For instance, in this video - "one minute". What if that is a good time for the Nutribullet - but the Ninja requires more time to reach the same consistency? I'm just wondering if these tests are set up for the Ninja to fail due to comparing times instead of comparing recommended manufacturer blender times?

So the NutriBullet wins because it was demonstrated to blend Kale and almonds? Sorry to say, there are people out there that are allergic to nuts and not everyone likes kale. I have the new NutriNinja Auto-iQ 1000 watts and hands down, it's an awesome blender. There's more than 3 settings to choose from and you don't need to hold it down to blend. You can also walk away from the blender as well. Mine blends Kale perfectly fine but, I don't like nuts in my smoothie anyway.

This video spoke to me. I am on the market for a strong blender and I just can't pick. I like to see the Bullet pro in action. I'd like to see a mango blend. Mango has hairs which can get caught in the blades so you need a strong blender to handle that. It's also great for smoothies because of the flavor and consistency. I'd like to see coconut as well.

Honestly, I dont really get, what is Your problem with a smoothie not blended perfectly? I personally love, when some small pieces of nuts are still noticeable in the texture. I even often add some fresh nuts extra to smoothies. It reminds me of what I put into it and whats the nature of ingredients. Smoothie does not have to be extremely smooth. It's still delicious. If I can eat a fresh apple the way it is, why would I be disappointed with any apple sauce or coctail having a natural texture. By blending we change the nature of fruits and veggies a bit, so lets do not expect so much. I would understand, if one of the blenders would not manage to blend, would burn with smoke and did not chop anything ( i've tried that with a cheap 250Watt model... it just did not work at all...), but these two blenders are both powerful and good enough. Its just a matter of personal preferences, not a quality of blending. Btw., I just ordered a Nutribullet and therefore I am making research on that model and I found Your video. Now I think that maybe i will have to blend my smoothies a little shorter not to make them too creamy.. ;)
@BlenderBabes4 жыл бұрын
Radek Bekieler I hear you! Lots of people don’t mind their smoothie to have little pieces in it. But you are in the minority 😉 Pieces of nuts is one thing but when you have little pieces of kale it creates a “gritty” texture that isn’t pleasurable for many people. I hope that helps clarify! Both of these brands are great we just wanted to compare them 😊
@radekbekielermusic4 жыл бұрын
@@BlenderBabes And I get You about blenders. Though, when it comes to 'smoothieness' of a smoothie, I feel like it is just a little on the edge of hypocrisy with being disappointed with the texture of the smoothie.. Kale has its structure, as well as carrot or pineapple and that's it. It's like saying: I love smoothies, but I do not like the way vegetables are. So I blend them, cause they have not pleasurable texture.. :) I love veggies and fruits in the first place, the way they are and then I will deal with the tools I have. If I will get pieces of nuts, carrots, kale or more in my smoothie, that is totally ok with me, cause I love them anyway. ;) I mean, with the quality of Ninja's smoothie presented here there is really nothing to be disappointed about. And I get it that some people just love creamy smoothies, or parents want to 'smuggle' some veggies into a drink given to their children, but it is always great to actually have appreciation to the real nature. That is, what I wanted to point about.

@Blender Babes My new Nutribullet 600 just came today and so far I don't really feel like it makes any different texture of smoothies I used to make with my previous Smoothie Twister by OBH Nordica (Danish brand, 300W). But I usually mix veggies, fruits, some nuts and seeds, so It is impossible to make it super creamy. And I believe, it really depends on what we put in our smoothies and in what proportions, how they gonna turn out. Of course, I need to test it more. But Nutribullet definitely makes the job much faster. Maybe the 900W model can actually make everything even more smooth... But I am satisfied with what I have got. I also managed to make a lovely peanut butter with linseed oil. ;) Cleaning it after was not easy.. :) I am surprised how quiet the engine is compared to the 300W model I used to have. I expected 600W to be very loud, but it is not. No leaking so far, but blades are super easy to unscrew with hands (I got an extra one and same story here). Hmm, something to check out from time to time for sure. And I do not believe that these plastic cups are strong enough to fall on the floor not breaking.. Its even possible to squeeze them a little and they got scratches just from drying them by soft kitchen towel. Otherwise, the base looks solid and it makes an impression of a pretty powerful machine. I love it in red color! ;) Well.. we'll see how long it will serve me. Best regards.

Radek Bekieler I don’t consider anything less than 1000 watts to be a “high power” blender capable of pulverizing so there’s no pieces. So I would recommend finding a blender that has that or more. 😊
@peter19716 жыл бұрын
It appears that you didn’t read the directions for the Ninja. The recommendation is to “pulse” when blending (probably the reason why needs to be manually pressed?), so I’m not totally sold in the nutribullet.
@BlenderBabes6 жыл бұрын
I read all the directions - pulsing just helps to move items around or chop things up. It's not best for pulverizing. They improved this feature by not requiring manual pressing on all later models - because it's cumbersome and consumers obviously don't like it very much. Hope that helps! Happy Blending! ~Tarashaun

@@BlenderBabes You didn't know the way the Ninja blender was design since you are only viewing this new model. The Ninja always needed to be pressed even from the older models, because the ice needs pulse first. so the pressing is for the control. And you are supposed to stop after 10s prevent overheating. totally agree. Ninja makes garbage. I have so many Ninja products and worked my way up to the 1400 watt model. the bottle doesn't lock in well so they tend to pop out of the seat while blending. I set one on the smoothie setting and went to the bathroom. When I came back the rubber teeth were melted and the whole kitchen/dining area was filled with smoke and smelled like someone did a burnout in my kitchen. The plastic tabs around the bottles, which lock the bottles in, quickly melt from vibrations also. This make the bottles unwind and completely come loose. The Ninja chopper with the triple blades is the only good ninja I've used. I'm on my way to kohl's right now to buy the 900pro.

Sure, smoothies are supposed to be smooth...but let's not forget that much of fiber's benefit comes from it's coarseness. If you completely liquify your fruits and veg, you will lose much of the benefit of this valuable food source. Minimal processing is always best...blend it to make it easier to access the fruit and veg nutrients, but balance that with keeping it as close to it's natural form as possible.

Chunks shouldn't be a problem. It's fiber we are talking about after all. What"s wrong with fiber being even more "fibery"? Some people know that fiber holds proteins in the stomach in the form of lumps in which proteins mixed with fibers. This way, they are getting better exposition to digestive juices because such lumps move through slower, and your proteins get digested fuller. And I think that Ninja might just do a better job producing the right kind of fibers for this purpose.

Juan Reynoso We loaded the blenders the way each blender company says to via their manual. 😊 We did it our way before and people then said to do via their manual. Seems counterintuitive I agree!

Great comparison, love the NutriBullet

cleo sidiropoulos stupid comparison. Only one sided review. Each person should taste the others smoothies and the compared. Plus since the ninja isn’t an auto blend it may need more time. All in all a biased review 👎👎👎👎

Nutribullet is superior even in its 600w form. They are popular for a reason.

Thanks for the video! Great idea to do the compare/contrast. Loved how she was honest about the grittiness. It would be helpful if rather than showing the specs on one slide and then another, you did a compare/contrast slide so we can really tell how the specs measure up. I'd choose the Nutribullet -- love the look of it (metallics!) and also not into the idea of having to hold the cup down while you blend. The smear test was awesome...and so was the sieve test!

You don't have to hold the ninja down...not sure why they are misleading people.

Brittany McPherson this particular model you do. The other Nutri ninja models they improved and you no longer have to hold it down.

Great video, thank you for doing this. I bought a blender a few years ago and trying to figure out which one would blend the smoothest was not easy, and I did not end up with what I wanted. The Nutrition Bullet Pro is what I will by next. I do love smoothies and I want the smooth creamy consistency. Plus hand free!

I liked that you did a sieve test, as a taste test is so subjective. However, it wasn't really as equal as it could be, as different people could push the mix through more or less. I'd rather have a time lapse sequence where you've let the mix sit in the sieves for an hour or so and then compare.

I think the sieve test really proved the point. The Nutri Bullet made a smoother blend, no grit, easier to drink and enjoy.

It probably depends on the amount of watts that each one has.

Should have poured three servings from each blender and let each person do a test test.
