I love when they show how powerful Storm is in the most intricate of ways like bringing to light she has ability to take atmosphere with her wherever she goes evening allowing her to travel in space if she needed to. I like these moments because they remind us due to her abilities being somewhat mysterious and mystical/divine like she could be capable of many feats that don't come to mind initially like manipulating cosmic storms, generating plasma heat energy, manipulating temperature, being able to suffocate people with just a thought etc.

I remember one Comiv I was reading she was fighting Emma. She pinned her to a brick wall with winds. She turned into her diamond form. Storm just say levitates a hay needle and makes it go so fast it breaks the bricks on the side of Emma’s face. Questioning if she can break down Emma’s diamond form with just needles and hurricane level winds. Total power house

Perhaps Tarn helped awaken a dormant or secondary mutation in Ororo. We see Storm’s face in the clouds and it reminds me of an alternate timeline in which Storm could assume the form of a sky elemental. It should be noted that Marvel may have given Storm this power in the past while she faced Dr. Doom for the first time. When she was freed from her metallic imprisonment she flew to the sky and seemingly took on a physical form of wind and lightning much like Emma Frost’s diamond form. Her face up in the clouds could be a hint at this secondary mutation that’s about to surface once again.

@@adamcedeno7465 Storm didn't "lose it" and she NEVER WILL. Research "Rogue Storm" to see a taste of what would happen if she, even momentarily, loses it. Also, during the Rogue Storm situation, Dr. Doom locked her away in a statue and she unconsciously manifested a hurricane larger than the North American continent and it was growing! When he released her she showed POWER on par with Dark Phoenix naturally(without the aid of any outside agency ergo Phoenix Force). Tarn, and Arokko, was very lucky she maintains her inner Serenity at all times. Also, research Ghost Panther and Lil 'Ro. Naw, she didn't "lose it", at all.

I'm a huge Storm fan .... but I don't like how they make her to be such a badass without her power. She can still be a badass ... but making her out to be someone who just karate anyone I don't like. It would require her to constantly keep training with the blade to be able to keep up with people who don't have cosmic weather powers and have to fight hand to hand only. Like if she fought someone like Shang Chi who was trained to be an assassin from a small child ... would she be able to go toe to toe ? ... or are they making it seem like she could beat him. I love Storm! My interpretation of the scene where Hellfire Gala Storm was fighting Classic Storm was that she fought her way to have a Seat within the Great Ring of Arakko, perhaps by challenging the previous owner of her Seat. Also, the scene where they were checking her DNA for any alterations by Tarn, I feel it was just acknowledging that Tarn brought her back to how she was because to either diminish her via DNA traps or psychic time bombs, or amplify her through power boosts or amplification of abilities would be, as Storm says, "an insult". It is Tarn acknowledging that Storm is an Apex Omega Mutant worthy of Arakko and Amenth. You don't mess with the best.

The fact that she can survive space without devices is a big ass win that was long overdue... I grow increasingly more tired that every writer who claims that Storm will shine, does it by taking her powers away and trying to keep that mohawk on her... The Callisto fight was great, and so was the punk phase, but these writers are showing they have no creative vision of their own with her. The atmospheric bubble is an amazing feat, but once again storm without powers winning on hand to hand isn't much of a surprise anymore. I'd love for them to expand on her goddess status. Explore her godhood, utilize it, establish it as a part of her and not a part time of her. Her godhead isn't a mutant power, this needs to be pushed. I think they're going to create their own version of storm. That would explain the storm v storm imagery. Who else is better to beat her, than her. Especially if they make her in their image. Remember their conversation at the table; they seem to want to attack Krakoa. Storm stands in their way.

1st, the regular cover is great but I had to have that Dautermann Variant! THIS IS THE STORM WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! I love it! The costume, the constant weather around her, her hair cloud! She looks like a powerful, cool Mortal Kombat character. This is what the Black Panther comics were setting up. Extremely powerful, fighting skills, everything! Put some respect on her! I loved that storm is finally getting her time to shine alone in a story arc, and it’s also befitting that she is the regent of Arako. Hitting back on something that Ernie said awhile back that the mutants of Arako are represents black people. You can tell by their character design Isca, Genesis, even Taryn in this issue. Hopefully this lead is into an Arako/Storm comic title.

descending from a long line of African witches is what ascended her to literal godhood, the gift of godhead was passed down to her from her ancestors with the power to get even stronger from peoples beliefs and prayers to her. I think Tarn removed “something”. The greatest battle of Storm is that she truly is a goddess-in the same vein that a a Phoenix-empowered Jean was, except Orroro was born into her godhood, not possessed by it. I think the Mutants of Arrako don’t respect her because they know that she can be as violent as her namesake but she chooses mercy. I think Tarn may have removed a psychic implant that keeps her from unleashing her godhood, there by making her the “same as she was before she stepped into the ring-(and maybe before she met Xavier who poisoned this goddesses’ mind with all this mutant talk) Uncanny X-Men Vol 1 #147 compares Storm to Phoenix. Doom trapped her in living metal for (a day/two issues). When she was freed she had already unleashed a storm that was harming the entire world and her entire form had been reshaped by her energy output.

I’m watching this again after watching other vids on other Marvel characters, especially the Female characters and I love Jean, but placing Jean and many other female characters in Storm situations..there is just no way any of them would have been able to defeat Storm’s opponents. The only male characters I know that is as capable of surviving any and every situation with or without powers are Cyclops and Gambit. I know some gone say Wolverine too but Wolverine isn’t an energy emitting mutant like those 3, magneto, Jean, Jubilee and others so yeah and frankly it’s only Storm who has her powers reduced or taken away since her entry into the X-Men and still she conquered over her enemies. To be honest…we see all these Omega and Beyond Omega Level beings demonstrating near absolute powers and abilities, but look how frail they are without them (Mister M when touched by Leech) and I do believe through all her loses and victories Storm is the most deadly and powerful of all of Marvel. No character yet has displayed her range of feats when the odds are against them..sure every hero gain victory eventually but it hits different with Storm. Marvel is telling a true story with her and I’m beginning to look past all the negative feelings I have on them, when it comes down to Black superheroes, and start seeing something positive..a positive message. Any setting and any situation against any opponent and Storm will fight to the finish. This is why she lead the X-Men field missions..like most I was upset that Emma got the headmistress position but now I realized why Storm didn’t get it. Even without her powers she could still be one of the most powerful sorcerers in marvel because of her ancestry of being a Direct descendent of oshtur, agamoto, Gaia, cathum, and before they retcond thors past when he was considered to be Gaia son with Odin she was a direct descendent of Odin and Thor. But unfortunately they changed odins baby Momma from Gaia to fire eyes one of the first host of the Phoenix. So now she’s not connected to Odin and Thor anymore. Tarn wouldn't do that. His gift has to be earned by those he deems worthy so he wouldn't go around giving people X genes. Also pretty sure they have something at the Orchis base that can counteract genetic meddling, given that they can counteract an omega level magnetic attack. Chimera Tarn is a bit more complicated but ultimate falls to the same problem that being Orchis's currently seemingly impenetrable defenses.

The 616 storm has not even lived up to her true potential yet. Fans were used to her bringing the storm, winds, lightning & rain but in theory, she controls planetary atmospheric phenomenon native to whatever planet (imagine if a planet has iron etc. she can make it rain steel, rust maybe diamonds, the possibilities are endless) or environment she is in and has empathic connection to the planet itself, she can go even beyond that and control cosmic storms. She came from a long-line of magic users(weather witches) and has not yet tap into this heritage of hers. (think of how dr. Doom balanced technology & sorcery) imagine if she did. Besides her innate mutant powers and magical abilities, she is one of the few worthy and has an asgardian hammer "stormcaster" that transforms her into an asgardian goddess boosting both her weather related powers and magical abilities, not to mention she is able to hold her own in physical combat in many situations where she is not able to use her powers and her soul or spirit is so strong, incredible will that it is as per writers not a power but can be consider superhuman, almost like how unbreakable and superhuman dr. Doom's will. Let us not forget her leadership skill, a leader of x-men, leader of morlocks, queen of wakanda. She is a force of nature.
