24years and still counting 😊 I don’t believe sex before marriage is necessary, there’s a blessing attached to it and I’m still going by Gods GRACE
@rhodasalifu56313 жыл бұрын
I love this. I tell singles as often as I get the chance to, when God says wait for marriage to have sex, it’s because He wants to train you for the times you need to wait for it in marriage. Your spouse is sick you wait; they are away you wait; you are not in good terms you wait; you need to seek Gods face you wait….. the list goes on. If you hadn’t trained yourself to wait as a single, it may be difficult to wait when you are married. So wait do not commit…. Thank you Ohmgees 🥰

Thank you OhEmGees for sharing. Its literally my first time watching you guys. Its so heartwarming and refreshing to see that you both are burning for God. And yes, thanks for highlighting the imperfection bit, I believe that as a Christian, we are prone to making mistakes and that's why we are God-dependent but its usually sad that the world always has this unreasonably high expectations about Christians. They are not demigods y'all. They are flesh and blood. As for the playboy thing, I thing you probably were a semi-good kinda playboy (for lack of a better way to say it) but then again, "most" guys don't say it oh! (in fact, I haven't heard of any Nigerian guy who has) but a Lebanese man told me straight up he wanted to have sex with me. Which I thought was appealing but then I am not about that kind of life. My experience so far is, they make you feel they want something real with you, some even go as far as getting into a relationship with you, chop to their heart's content, clean mouth and then they murve! I for one would I appreciate a guy telling me straight up that he wants to get down with me because in this day and age, SEX IS CHEAP! Leave us that want something real biko! I told a guy recently that I couldn't come to his house on a first date and the dude who was previously gushing over me literally stopped speaking to me. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! Thank God for wisdom. (Sorry that the comment loooooooong. lol)

Ah! I completely agree with you. Same advice I gave a Christian sister the other day. She was asking what was wrong in visiting The Bro alone. I told her there is no sin in it. However, at the stage they both are, it will be advisable not to visit the brother without some degree of accountability. To avoid sin.
@jairusbryant29743 жыл бұрын
My only qualm with this is if we are having chaperones at every date... how can I genuinely get to know you. Because many times, we tend to act different when other people are around us. I think it’d be wise if we do more public things out in the open rather than chaperoned.

And you know, i love how realistic you guys were about your mistakes, and how we can avoid them, that just works so much for we that have had stuffs in the past yet, we have now decided to follow God's path. Thank you so so much. You know, at times, it feels like we should have a billion of these kinds of videos on KZbin, but we barely would because, many Christians prefer to condemn that to be open with their mistakes. So, it's only when you hit the point and didn't even have a hug before marriage that makes your video valid ? But it's a lie, we want to hear the mistakes too, so we know what pitfalls to check and not just setting unrealistic goals.

Yes! There are consequences to do that before marriage. I courted my husband for 11 months and I did a great job not going to his place for most part of the courtship and no sex either until the 99th hour after night vigil 😂. I decided to spend the night at his place. It happened. I cried so hard and he was so sorry that we did it. The consequences, I didn’t see my period. My period has never been late and I cried to God to forgive me. On the day I least expected, my period showed up on my wedding day 🤣. I was happy I saw it, but at the same time not so happy when it showed up. It’s best to wait. I know God has forgiven us but after waiting that long and we messed up at the 99th hour 👎🏽. Trust me, it's even harder to remain celibrate when you have already made a mistake. You just tasted how sweet the cake is and they removed it from your mouth, can you compare that to when you haven't tasted the cake at all? It's certainly harder to decide not to taste the cake at all than tasting small and then, it's gone. Even babies cry when you do that to them, they'll want more of that sweet thing . So, I'm in awe of the fact that despite that, they were still able to make it through and it's just a lot for me. Cos when you have stuffs before, people don't know how hard it is to follow God's path again. Instead, they condemn the people for their past. Not knowing it's even harder now. The triggers, the memories, the sight, everything just calls you back, so it's so much harder. And I'm so so happy they have come out plain and made me feel that it is possible. Thank you so much oh em gees

He does visit me at my place and when he comes we gist and talk about work, God the future and lots of engaging topics... So yesterday, he came around and somehow I felt like playing with him on an extreme level... I made him sit on the ground and we began to play like that before then, I have been wanting to kiss him but we held back... Long story short... We kissed yesterday 😭😭😭 Too bad we learnt the lesson the hard way, we have decided not to meet in an enclosed space ever again. Thank God we didn't go as far as having sex... Though its ur personal life and can choose to keep it to yourselves.. and everyone always claim and say sexual purity even wen within themselves they are fighting to keep up with it. ..Personally I believe in sexual purity and it's possiblities of living it out, but what about the other partners u meet or encounter do they have same stronghold as u.... My point, people don't tend to tell the younger ones the realty of how these things work, cos no one accepts that he/she fall during courtship, everyone accepts and claims to be perfect and abstained under the umbrella of it wasn't easy but God helped us while they didn't observe it all the way... Am encouraged seriously, it's possible to dwell in sexual purity during courtship but temptation would come, at times u noth can be victims unexpectedly, unconsciously but ur determinations/perseverance gives u victory

I love this video, I also appreciate that this is a place where people are able to be vulnerable and share their stories. Thanks all.
