Everyone loves waterfalls don't they? But Puck's Glen in Argyll, with more waterfalls than you can count, takes the experience to a whole new level. I was worried that this short walk, regularly cited as one of the finest short walks in Scotland wouldn't live up to the hype.......but this strange, sopping wet and very very green Victorian oddity more than delivers.
This video blog takes you the full distance of the glen from the bottom to the top, through the lower and then upper sections. Be warned though, the constant roar of rushing water might make you want to nip to the loo!

Thankyou for that video. I have wanted to go to Puck's Glen for a long time, but havn't managed it yet. I have been to Benmore Botanical Gardens several times & they were well worth visiting.

Merci beaucoup. This walk was one of the only two half day off in whole two year working period as hotel manager in Hunters Quay, Dunoon between 2009 & 2011. Great memory of escape walk in the green wilderness.

I love taking my daughter to places like that... they make perfect places to visit on rainy days. We did most of the hidden waterfalls of Northumberland last year. Might look at taking her further afield. This one that you show, Puck's Glen certainly looks worthy of a stop off if we find ourselves in the area. Thank you for sharing. If you ever drift south of the border, you will probably enjoy Hareshaw Linn at Bellingham. That's a nice gorge with lots of bridges and small falls finishing with a large fall at the end (3 mile walk in total). If it is colours that you enjoy then Hindhope Linn is a gem of a hidden waterfall... it is not so long a walk but the colours, especially in Autumn are amazing... just south of Carter Bar, turn off for the Kielder forest road and park up just before the road through the forest. It will take about 30 minutes off your journey. It is barely a trickle in summer though. Best going in the Autumn.

Went up the glen in june 19 and feb 20 in different weather and both walks were amazing, but heading up after a long spell of torrential rain and still wet and misty adds a completely different atmosphere to the place. Other worldly in my opinion.

Great video, Ben! We will try this in June as detour on our way to Arran from Skye :) Actually, this reminds me of Glenashdale falls on Arran. Like Puck's Glen, it takes some climbing/walking to get to, an hour if I remember correctly, and there are no bridges or anything. Ends with a large waterfall. That said, its noway near as nice as this little gem! Thanks!

It's certainly on the way, if you cross from Gourock to Dunoon.

Great video. I was there a day or two ago and there wasn't much water moving around.. it looks like a different place in your video with all the water gushing through it. I'll definitely be going again when it's rainy.

Tollymore Forest in Co Down, right at the foot of the Mournes, is a bit like that. It was a place I used to go to when I wanted to de-stress.

Another one to the list , how does it compare to the Birks of Aberfeldy? Great vid as usual !

Never been to the Birks so couldn't comment, but my impression is that Puck's Glen is much longer...plus it's green all year round cos of the massive towering conifers.
