The last Blight video you had made, I know the towers deactivating issue was still a thing, but I was constantly told it wasn't. Then one day, it just wasn't. I don't know if they stealth patched it, but the range on towers is basically the whole map now, from my experience.

@@JayBigDadyCy I remembered complaining about it back around that time and people very snippily telling me I was making it up. They patched it some point mid-TotA league, if I remember, but I never saw them mention anything about it. I don't think towards are quite global range, but it's a hell of a lot better now.

The Blightspawn is sometimes fked, there is often a goat boss that doesn't get cc'ed and just happily jumps to your blight growth to one-shot it.

The tower does quadruple damage is pretty good for dealing with janky boss out of blightspawn that can't be cc'd. (Slow stun tower might work.

Today I learned you can annoint with 9 oils instead of just 3. I always assumed it was just 3 bc, well, that's what shows in the tab!

Ravaged Blight maps allow for 9. Regular blighted maps only allow 3 annoints. Ziz was doing a Ravaged map here. Hence the 9 oils. They are way harder than regular blighted maps if you've never done them. But can be very rewarding with some rare high level stuff.

Those who dont know the tower node is powerful, even for just gold if nothing else. But get 18 towers to max level or more and get better chances at divs and ex from towers

​@MirvDingle Correct, but requires some micromanagement to use well. You'll jave to run big spread out maps, with the boss lane node as well to ensure that you have enough salvage. Then, you'll try to get all 18 towers. Build your essentials first and then upgrade the other targets off to the side. You'll need to lock down lanes for time to build the tower and pick off bosses/trash for points.

The salvage tower node is actually legit if you builds all the differnet towers. it seems even the two level 4 fires are considered different tower types. So two level 4 flame towers, two minion, two lightning etc... ive gotten divines off from the salvage but it is kind of annoying trying to run around making sure to upgrade them all

I ran Blight as part of my Atlas Progression. So far I managed to get two Blight-Ravaged Maps (one of which I failed at the very final moments for some reason), and in one particular in-map encounter, I maanged to get a Hinekora's Lock. It's now sitting in my stash, waiting for it to appreciate in value as the league goes on.

So exactly the same strategy was posted months ago and I used it because I love Blight.... and TBH it was a BLAST! Really, whatever build you've got you can clear all T16 maps, if you can deal some DMG idealy with explosions then Ravaged can be done with ease. Cannot thank you enough Ziz for teaching us that strategy, stay sane!

the siesmic right path seems ok, like it permanantly slow mobs, and when they reach any slow tower level 3, they do not move any more. But not like the chill tower, they can slow any amount of mobs, meaning if you dont have the tower/damage to kill the mobs, they are quite good at handling loads of monster

I tried blight for the first time yesterday, and the one thing I dont like, is that there is too much UI fiddling while combat is happening. In other mechanics, for example Expedition, you get you UI setup, and then its just combat. They're not interwoven and you have time to prepare. If it had slowed time like in Ultimatum, it would also be good to be able to read tower descriptions a bit more comfortably.

So I attempted my very first Blighted Ravaged Map using these combinations of anoints & it was perfect. It reduces the cost of towers by SO damn much to where you can fully upgrade a bunch of towers at the very start and borderline afk. And depending on the map layout, you absolutely can afk. Did this on a Cursed Crypt Ravaged map felt really good. Now to try more Blighted Ravaged Maps 🤣

Blightspawn will often spawn 7+ uniques at once on short lanes and completely brick the encounter. Wouldn’t recommend anybody to take this unless you have like 50m+ dps or smth

On i have the dmg but it means i drop to one frame, i die if one has proxy shield and i cant sapvage towers cause i cant build them with such pressure.

no its not just you , last league i had been thinking that the activation range on towers had been massively buffed cause i didnt need to be anywhere near as close as i had needed to be before. its a great hidden buff tbh.

I wouldn't run the 1 lane defended by uniques in hardcore tbh. And sometimes it can brick a run in maps but if you get the node that uniques drop more scarabs and you buff them with scarabs it can be very lucrative. Also the salvage node is decent for one point. Get a lot of gumball, a few chaos and a decent amount of gold

You said not to play with "can not be stunned/slowed" and on that I agree, but that should cover only Corerupted maps, no? Afaik, map modifications do not affect the drop from bliight nodes, only the explosion from the pump itself. Can you elaborate on that, please?

Maybe this is just me, but my blight maps have been completely unplayable and super laggy this league and i have done blight through tons of blight ravaged for at least 10 leagues, running a 5600x/3060ti only 16GB of ram but i also run the game on a gen 5 nvme ssd no idea why its so laggy

dont go blightspawn on the tree if your playing build like bleed lacerate the bosses are often incredibly tranky and you lose the encounter not worth it for another reward

How are you putting 9 oils on a map? Once I put 3, it says the blighted map cannot have more than 3 blight modifiers even tho I've only annointed it once.

There is a difference between "blighted maps" - 3x anoint, drops in regular maps and "Blight-ravaged maps" - the "uber" version of a blighted map, that allows 9x anoint and drops only in blighted maps themselves.

I'm actually not a blight fan anymore this league as the scarab-rework was really bad for in-map blight. Sure we have that one atlas-node more or less replacing one of them, but it still feels extremely unrewarding in maps itself, especially now that we need to run so many maps to keep up with gold.

You don't. Best you can do is only run blighted maps with certain layouts. Even then RNG can screw you over.

How do you manage to not lag at all? No matter my settings even on regular blights just the mobs existing lags my game to less than 10 fps. And i’ve got a pretty decent pc with a high end ryzen 9 3900x and an rtx 2080 super so my specs are up to speed but the game just can’t handle it for me

Try enabling dynamic culling, dynamic resolution, setting water detail level to low (unless you have a hideout with a lot of water and would want it to look better) and setting renderer to DirectX12 then restarting.

I run PoE on a 5700X3d and a GTX 1070. I just can't play Blight maps because of the FPS. Its crazy how this game's performance/optimization is getting worse and worse and GGG is not even worried about it.

I always have trouble understanding what mechanics my build is good against. I'm mapping with hexblast tricksters, but can't decide between blight and expedition for my first focus

honestly any build can do blight, since the towers are such a big aspect. things with prolif are going to accel, but hexblast would be fine. a lot of times trap/mine builds accel at bossing and things that want high single target damage, since you can preload your damage (think maven invitations, boss rushing, feared rotations, essence etc)

go to settings in graphics and change Renderer to Vulkan. Fixed my pc entirely. I literally got 5 fps in blight maps before changing

I'm getting the same thing, my game will start off fine but slowly lose FPS until like 3-4 minutes into the blight where it will be physically unplayable, but for some reason leaving and immediately re-entering fixes the fps issue (even though there's still the same number of towers + enemies)

Blight awful strat this league I tried your guide and I can no longer sustain my town , I think anyone reading should consider this if you plan on interacting with the blight mechanic the gold production is so bad that you will have to avoid blight ravaged/blighted maps entirely or you will fall behind in gold upkeep
