I once felt in love with a beautiful girl because I discovered that she knew how to sing this song from beginning to the end (and because I later discovered that she was a big fan of Blind Guardian). We used to sing The Bards Song together everytime possible and the loudest possible. We had a five month love affair, and it was one of the happiest periods of my whole life. Well, time passes and I don't know where she is now, we lost contact, but I will always remember her because of this song. You'll be forever in my memory, L.G.

Now You all know The bards and their songs When hours have gone by I'll close my eyes In a world far away We may meet again But now hear my song About the dawn of the night Let's sing the bards' song Tomorrow will take us away Far from home Noone will ever know our names But the bards' songs will remain Tomorrow will take it away The fear of today It will be gone Due to our magic songs There's only one song Left in my mind Tales of a brave man Who lived far from here Now the bard songs are over And it's time to leave Noone should ask You for the name Of the one Who tells the story Tomorrow will take us away Far from home Noone will ever know our names But the bards' songs will remain Tomorrow all will be known And You're not alone So don't be afraid In the dark and cold 'Cause the bards' songs will remain They all will remain In my thoughts and in my dreams They're always in my mind These songs of hobbits, dwarves and men And elves Come close Your eyes You can see them, too

This band is EPIC not just because of the lyrics, but because of the sound. Listen to Blind Guardian's live music! When oo you hear the entire stadium singing louder than the band at any other concert? Do you hear the audience get into it like Blind Guardian's audience? No I don't think so!! *These songs of hobits, dwarves and men - and elves come close your eyes...*

I saw Blind Guardian for the first time ever in Calgary December 2010 in venue with maybe 500-1000 people. When they played this song it brought a tear to my eye. Everyone in there singing along with it is like nothing I have experienced in person at a concert before. Seems like it doesn't matter on the venue this song just plays really well live
