OMG, absolutely how it happened with me. Loved Metallica version for 15 years. And only recently discovered that there’s original. Since then have listened to Bob Seger version a million times. Jon English also has covered the song.

Metallica's version is the best because it is heavy, and it has a great video clip. The original is like a caress, Metallica is like a punch in the face.
