We had a blind dog--never could tell he was blind. He did everything a sighted dog could do. Very sweet and loving. I'd adopt a blind dog anytime Your dog is beautiful and funny! xo

Thank you so much for being this dog's momma.You said that she is fearful in situations where there are loud noises. We used a shirt on one of our dogs to manage her fear. The shirt is available on Amazon and is called a thunder shirt. It looks like a jacket that a companion dog would wear. you slip it over her head and wrap it around her chest and close it with the built in velcro. I give it an A plus and worked so well. We would try to anticipate a storm or fire works on the fourth of july. If we didn't get it on her soon enough, she would come to us and ask for her Thunder Shirt. I've fostered and rescued MANY pitbulls over the years and have had them around my kids, even my youngest as a newborn. They've ALWAYS been amazingly sweet. People forget that they've always been called and considered "nanny dogs" and for good reasons.... They are very gentle dogs, the smaller the kid, the more gentle they are. I'm soooo very glad this sweet woman took this amazing dog in and gave her the love she has deserved all along.

Selly is the second blind Pit Bull that I've read about here on GeoBeats, the other one had to have it's eyes removed also following trauma. It's amazing how the other senses heighten to accommodate the loss of sight. Selly is just lovely and is so happy in her forever home.
