Ohhhhhh my. First off, I can't imagine what type of person would do something like this. This dog is obviously seeking friendship and love so what tf would drive a person to do such horrendous acts towards an animal? I'll never understand this and it literally bugs the crap out of me because I can't even come close to understanding. I'm really pleased that this beautiful dog was rescued, but it always brings me to the question of why. What on earth can a dog do to deserve such treatment? It angers and frustrates me. I can't have a dog because we're not allowed but maaaannn if I could, I'd save a shelter dog all the way. His recovery is awesome and his new family is impressionable for taking him in. My dog comes from a killing station and his ears had to be amputated because of necrosis. But I love him more than anything and he now has a good life. Just because a dog is different doesn't mean he can't be happy. It's great that Phantom has also found someone who loves him for who he is 🥰

Phantom knows he is safe and in a home full of love. I have a senior Bichon Frise that I adopted in 2013. She had been badly abused in a puppy mill before we took her in. In 2022 Daisy went blind in her left eye and then totally blind on March 27th, 2024. My vet referred me to a vet that did eye surgery. He suggested that I allow him to "Remove" her eyes as he could not correct her problem. I thought why disfigure her in that way? I never went back to him. Like Phantom Daisy is playful and loving, When I talk to Daisy her tail wags and she smiles. I hope that you, Phantom and the rest of your pack have a long fun loving life together~! Shalom

OMG he has almost the EXACT same "hole" my rescue has. Hers was already scarring when the rescue in romania found her roaming the streets, so no one can tell for sure why she has it, but we think it was fight with another dog for food :( I saw her and just know i needed her, but at the time we lived a place where we could only have 2 pets, and we already had a dog and a sweet kitty. Sadly we lost our kitty, and months later i saw her again and i could not understand how she was STILL up for adoption. I got her and she has been with me for 5 years so far, very slowly coming out of her shell, but is now just a goofball and a professional cuddler, she loves anything and everything SOFT! She has a samoyed big brother that helps her with "dog duties" so she is well trained, and if anything is a bit too scary she looks at her brother or me how to handle the situation. Luckily, my angel isnt blind, the eye on the scarring side isnt 100% cause the healing has pulled on her skin but everything else is 100%.
