I would say she really was a piece of pseudo-orthorhombic Burmese painite, specifically of an orange-brown color. Though it has a fairly common vitreous luster and may not look interesting to the untrained eye, painite is a very rare borate mineral composed of corner and edge sharing AlO6 octahedra. It's unique because it contains both zirconium and boron, which do not usually naturally occur together. Orange-brown is the rarest of the colors, with the color of the mineral being caused by chromium and vanadium impurities, and generally appearing dark red. Due to the normal dark red color, it was often confused with ruby, though they can be easily be differentiated using refractive index measurements, rubies having a refractive index of 1.76 to 1.77, compared to painite which measures at 1.78 to 1.81. Another method to tell them apart would be by their birefringence values, rubies having a value of 0.008 to 0.010, while painite has a value of 0.029. And of course you can also check them on the Mohs hardness scale, with ruby being a 9 and painite being from 7.5 to 8.

Did anyone else realize that the colt in the beginning that Trixie stopped from entering had a rain cloud cutie mark. And he’s unicorn, it is definitely possible that his special talent has to do with weather but usually Pegasi are the ones that get them. Since, ya know they control the weather, but I find interesting all the same. Anyway I got off track but I just found it ironic that his cutie mark was a rain cloud and he was about to cry at that moment.

I'm glad Trixie immediately steps in and defends her - the last thing we want is for Starlight to think she made a mistake by not being on-call 24/7. She decided to finish it before heading home so that she could focus solely on her family afterwards. Unfortunately, she lost track of time while staying at the Treehouse of Harmony. 20:04-20:06/20:34-20:43 Silver Stream petting Edith. Also, Applegeek is right on the money. 20:48-21:02 Yeah, about that... Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:02-21:08 Back in Maud's cavern Mud Briar is back to normal and Trixie has ditched her wizard outfit. 21:03-21:16 Sunburst's comment and Applegeek's reaction. Also, Maud has mixed feelings about Mud Briar being flesh and blood again. 21:13 Number of times and Briar says "technically": 6 21:13-21:28 Maud's comment and Applegeek's reaction. 21:30-21:41 Again, Starlight blames herself. 21:41-21:47 Sunburst makes a good point. 21:45-21:54 Silver Stream admits she probably didn't need to come to Starlight with such petty problems. 21:54-22:03 Trixie makes a good point...then her ego shines through. 22:03-22:12 Starlight comes up with the perfect solution to her problem: she'll have set times for when the students can see her. That way, they'll have time to think about what they really need help with and she can have time to herself. Applegeek likes it. 22:10-22:17 Silver Stream admits Starlight wasn't very helpful with her petty problems anyway. Also, Starlight and Applegeek's reactions. 22:19-22:44 The cake has been left for so long that it's hard as stone. It even bends the cake-knife. Maud likes "petrified desert", though. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 22:24 Trixie's face. 22:46-22:59 I said it first (and twice), Applegeek. 30:49-31:27 I didn't realise that; they have all had social problems before, haven't they? 32:38-33:09 I'll admit that I sometimes feel like a workaholic. And it does detract me from my family sometimes. 35:47-36:11 I noticed that, too. It's a common trait for people with Autism. All in all, this is another example of how a story doesn't need to feature the Mane 6 to be successful. It's been a while since we've seen characters like Starlight, Trixie, Terramar, Sunburst, Maud and Mud Briar. And seeing them together is a real treat. Maud and Mud Briar are especially entertaining - as evidenced by Applegeek's reactions. Plus, their Autistic traits are implemented and handled very well - yes, I genuinely believe Maud and Mud Briar are Autistic. Starlight also learns a valuable lesson about balancing her time so she can be the best friend and counsellor possible. I think we can all take something from that. Anyway, that's all I have to for this episode. We have two more before Applegeek reaches the mid-season hiatus and they're both something special. I can't wait to see what he thinks of them.

The blue unicorn pony in the beginning has a rainy cloud cutie mark, and was really really upset( crying upset) .Maybe he’s kind of cursed with feeling sad or depressed. That could tie in with his colour scheme as the colour blue is often associated with being sad. As the expression “feeling blue” is commonly used to describe this.

Starlight was going back and forth like Terramar, and that was annoying for Trixie. When Trixie arrived to Starlight's office the first time, she should have declared: - The counsellor's office is closed. BEAT IT! And at 7:24 I'm sure Garble and his friends would do the same with their textbooks and threaten Twilight to burn down the schools library. Why? Because they are not interested in learning. A lot of children feel that way.

I have two things on this episode. One, I think Starlight was trying this hard, because in the Premiere, Twilight asked her to take over the school and this might have been her idea of preparing herself for that role. Two, and to be honest, this is a bit of a pet-peeve of mine, but why didn't Silverstream just ask her brother to explain that whole "wet and dry" thing to their cousins? He lives on both land and sea, after all. Otherwise this episode was brilliant, but I can already say, without having seen the next one, that this one won't top episode 11. Also, you have this titled Episode 17 in your description, just saying.

How can I say? When Starlight Glimmer is involved as episode, the fun plus epicness is always assured, also Maud Pie with all her rock jokes and puns is great, plus obviously Trixie that acted as waifu and voice of reason about control obsessed Glim Glam On the other note I consider right now Starlight Glimmer like Princess Luna as use by authors: Both are big guns as possibilities to explore adult themed stories with an hint of dark and cinic humour, both are formidable reformed villains with distinctive features when bad or good and are among the most commented characters ( Universally beloved Luna/Nightmare Moon and the most strong divided fandom for Starlight among all other ponies) plus after Season 6 (where the authors made heroic efforts IMHO succesfully to improve Glim Glam after her flaw of quick forgive) they have been used with extreme caution during few episodes because fans cannot accept average episodes for them

Good call on Starlight not giving students enough time because she's so overwhelmed. I think a good part of the problem is that Starlight hasn't been a counselor before, she feels enhanced responsibility especially with Twilight and company gone, and remember it kind of went from zero students visiting her to the opposite.

Maud was actually funny in this episode. They usually pair her with Pinkie, and that dynamic just doesn't work because the difference is too jarring. Making the both of them seem obnoxious rather than funny. Also: "How do you tell the difference." Sunburst gets the best line of the entire episode.

We haven't seen a whole lot of Starlight this season. This episode definitely makes up for it. Here are my highlights: 1:00 Hi Trixie. Nice to see you again. You too, Starlight. 1:00-2:29 Trixie and Starlight try having a picnic, but Starlight keeps getting called away to her counselling. At least she's thriving in her job now, instead of having no one see her like in last season. 1:11-2:18 Starlight wears an enchanted bracelet that flashes every time there's a knock on her office door. Also, Applegeek's reactions. 1:14-1:25 A full 10 seconds of near-silence. 1:32-1:39 Starlight vanishes again. Trixie isn't amused. 1:39-1:50 Starlight is happy to have come to terms with her "checkered past". She uses the experience to guide young students on the right path. that stretched format is a little annoying, but I prefer it to the TILTED format i saw a different reactor do. oh, that part with Silverstream reminds me of a weird old sci-fi story called "the gentle earth"...aliens from a hot, wet world invade earth. the story is told from the viewpoint of one of their officers...and they had NO words in their language for cold or dry, or tornado... yes, their headquarters was leveled by a tornado, and winter nearly wiped them out!

It's not that important. And it would require too much extra work (not to mention BitChute isn't working well for majority of people). It's a reaction video, and as long as it's possible to see what he's reacting to, it's enough. If people are here to watch an episode for free, they really shouldn't use a reaction video for that, and get proper full versions of the episodes. :) The most important thing in a blind reaction video is the commentary itself and a facecam.

Well, to be fair, there are people who still have some cool reactions, even without a facecam. But it takes talent. One of a few people like that was CobaltSky (MrCobaltSky) before he had too much problems with youtube and finished reacting at season 7 finale. He had a great talent to commentate a lot of entertaining lines in real time, blind, and yet managed to talk mostly during silent moments in an episode, so that he wouldn't miss the dialog he'd be talking over. That takes a unique skill. :) That guy didn't need a facecam to create great reactions.
