i'm 50 this group has restored my faith in rock music. I haven't heard anything this good in many years. The music at the end of this song is a repeat of the beginning of the album, brilliant.

This is becoming a top 5 ghost song all time for me. It's melancholy, like you said. But there's also something kinda inspiring about it. Like a gospel worship song, just in a satanic way 😂 I can really picture Papa up at the Alter singing this to a packed church. Tobias somehow made a song about Jack the Ripper sound hauntingly beautiful.
@lyxandrast0ttr0n1x82 жыл бұрын
It was strangely inspiring! The lyrics also had enough ambiguity that I feel like you can interpret a sort of hopefulness amongst all the melancholy.

The solo at the end of this song is incredibly beautiful no words to describe it

Completely agree. "The past is spun like a yarn and mangled" is a ridiculously beautiful phrase. Don't know what's so good about it. Like "Cellar Door" which is often considered the most beautiful two word combo in the English language.

I love how the album ends by transitioning back into the opening track ‘imperium’ and ending in the same motif. This Signifies that as one empire falls, another will always rise and take it’s place and there is a perpetual circle at work. That is an absolute chef’s kiss in song writing. I love the emotion that you clearly display when listening, the fact you can get so much out of this shows that Ghost have done their job of entertaining their audience perfectly. 🤘🏻😘🤘🏻

This song is actually incredible. The last two minutes of it gives just gives this shivering and awesome moment. Closing off the album the way they started it, is a power move

100% - I've always admired Iron Maidens ability to make the solo's so melodical. But this, this ending tieing together the intro is actually on another level.

Me too. The ending when it came back to imperium was just sooo powerful and still is. I try to get so many people to listen to this album but I hide this ending as if I’d be spoiling a movie if I gave it away. It’s such an amazing twist and catches you so good by surprise

Hi.. I just listened through your uploads and it's refreshing to see someone who is gets into the music they're reacting to in a totally genuine way and is listening to the lyrics. If you decide to do more reactions, or reviews of older Ghost tunes or something else, I'll hang around :)
