Boom! An absolute banger of a whisky won it! I absolutely adore Ancnoc 18 but whenever I put it up against other 18s it kind of feels a bit diluted and empty. Great showdown Tim, I bet it was fun to do to this, cheers 🥃

As good as it is, it just doesn't have the same presence as the winning whisky. It was a lot of fun. Seriously thinking of doing it again next year ...

That was fun! Great job! I only had 4 of the 5 bottles you had in this flight or I would have followed at home. I find Ledaig 18 to be a "smoother" less peaty, more sherried version of Kilchoman's SANAIG. At least my 2022 bottle of SANAIG. After a blind tasting with those two I poured an 1 oz of both in a glencairn glass and set it aside for an hr. The result was absolutely delicious.

Great tournament Tim. I loved the idea and every video lived up to my high expectations. Hopefully you can find an advent calendar of the same quality next year. I don't think this would have worked as well if it wasn't filled with superior whisky. Keep up the great work!

It was a pretty strong selection as these advent calendars go. This one runs about 200 pounds, or about $250.

I’m going to guess the Ancoc 18 for the winner. Would love to try this last line up. I’ve been lucky enough to try the ledaig 18 and it was delicious but that’s all.
