I think Soos gets paid, probably not well, but he gets paid. When Stan said he will work for free, he meant as a DJ for the party. He wanted to be the DJ and Stan let him because he would work for free. Gideon's Dad mentioned a rivalry with Stan because they both are in the conning people game. His Dad seems to just care about money but Gideon is more about power.

According to the commentary track, the crew never got too bogged down in the geography of the Mystery Shack. The injoke amongst the crew is that the Mirror Room featured in Double Dipper behaves like the Room of Requirement adjusting its size and shape to suit the needs of each episode.

The key for the end credit codes is the backwards spoken message in the intro. You have to play it backwards and it'll tell you what to do with the letters

He isn't telling them anything about the plot, he's telling them about how to find a code that tells them how to find other codes. It's hardly spoiling any surprises. Especially since communication between one another, and sharing details like this, are exactly how people were intended to figure out what was going on back when the show was still airing.

The ciphers are important guys, there's a bunch of stories that are told through cipher in the show. In the end there was even a hunt for treasure that was found (don't google will get spoiled) and the book exists with literal pages with some ciphered stories and even more lore.

Still Gideon's attempts on getting the shack is far from over. Lastly it's awesome that all of you guys are enjoying the show and doing the Mystery Ciphers that appear in the End Credits. I'd argue that Gideon's dad does Want to care about his son but, I feel like he's like Veruca salts father in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Veruca's father loved her and was a greedy business man but she became so spoiled because he was trying to make her happy. It kind of comes down to love languages. Some people view gifts, physical touch, and action carry more value than words or time where as Gideon seems to prefer Words of Affirmation. He Needs people to tell him how great he is possibly because he is jealous of people like pacific. I could see Gideon as a resident of the falls growing up trying to be higher class than he is and in his pursuit of ambition he in turn abuses his family. As soon as he found that book which we still don't know how he did that. I think Gideon's Narcisistic tendencies took a front seat and his father simply didn't know how to discipline him. I mean if his mother is that scared of everything around her it makes you think that his father wouldn't fuel the fire unless he thought that it was his best chance of his son growing out of this phase.

I love how u guys are just making up theories, some actually good some more extreme in trying to figure things out! That's exactly how everyone acted while the show was airing, making up theories exchanging ideas.
