That cheer got to me. When it was recorded, she was saying "Don't lose, me!" But we can hear it from Faye's perspective as "Don't lose me!", and it's heart-wrenching because that's exactly what happened: she lost herself.

@RayramAureanBlue

@@ThanatoselNyx A double entendre is not inherently sexual, at least not all the time. What they're trying to point out is that young Faye says "Don't lose, me!", which is just self-motivation to succeed, but it then can be interpreted from older Faye's perspective as "Don't lose me", as in don't lose yourself.

One of the most emotional moments in the series that made me love faye 10 times more. A totally innocent, shy and fool of dreams girl who is almost a complete different person now having no memory of her beautiful and nostalgic past due to that accident. She is empty of her childhood memories which recorded with so much joy and hoped that one day she will be watching these scenes again with her and her childhood friends, that's the saddest part. Her tears says it all. That's the brilliance of cowboy bebop. It can make you love the series and the characters, not from the giant plot twists and action, but from more simple to understand things, which happen to be the most important in life, that's the most important thing for me. A simple anime at first sight but pure gold and nostalgic at the same time, and this is something you will understand after finishing this show, at least that was the case with me.

In Hindsight, Faye throughout the series is in trouble or is trouble to the crew a lot of the time. Her demeanor is that of carelessness. She brushes it off as someone else's problem, fault, and in a cold/nonchalant way. She never apologizes for the problems and mischief she causes, which is a result from the lonely and cruel world she knows. A world where the only way to survive is to be unabashedly proud, clever, and savvy. But, within this pride she carries a deep guilt for messing up and burdening the crew and you aren't really exposed to it until this episode, when they abruptly progress her character arc in an interesting way. Almost instantly after realizing she has this guilt, you also come to terms how much pain she is in resulting from it. She feels unable to forgive herself, and it really grounds her as a flawed yet, ultimately more magnetic character. Everyone relates to her in their own way, while simultaneously the scene is centered enough to leave you thinking about your own choices of who you were, became, are, and will be. Then, if the shock from that wasn't enough, young Faye apologizes to the crew and forgives herself from a past that no longer exists. Finally young Faye, not knowing what fate lie ahead, poise-fully inspires Faye to start doing better in the present and future, cheering her on vibrantly as she can. Spoken just as a child would.

It’s like that’s what everyone wishes they could do. Having all her mistakes and times she fucked up or did fucked up stuff,to see her past self being so aware of who she is at that time was beautiful yet sad at the same time. Having no past most being lost in time just to have a record a time capsule of you is whew. This is one of my favorite episodes.

Faye is my favourite character in this show, even though she kind of annoys me some times. Things like this really show how human she is. I relate to her. She was just a person before all this happened, she doesn't have the same backstory as Spike or Jet that ties them to all these adventures, she's just a girl out of time with no identity.

16:30 - On the topic of HD DVD there's been some speculation that Microsoft's half-hearted support of the format vs. Blu-ray was actually meant as a deception to distract Sony while MS actually saw the future in digital distribution. It's notable that MS released Netflix on Xbox long before Sony was able to come out with their own equivalent. Not to mention the development of Xbox Live. Stop Skeletons From Fighting actually has a video on this topic.

The format war between Blu-ray and HD DVD would have ultimately ended the same way. It's the movies studios that release the movies, Sony (Blu-ray) and Toshiba (HD DVD) provide the means to get it to the customer. The goal of a format war is to get as many of these studios on your side. Sony had two advantages. The first was Sony already owned 1 of the 6 major movies studios (Columbia). The second was the PlayStation 3. The millions that bought a PS3 now have Blu-ray players. Toshiba from the begin were fight a uphill battle and this shows how a company can use it separate divisions to its advantage.
