Same as I always thought Livewire was such an underrated villain in Superman's rogue's gallery as I really love her origin of being a shock jock reporter who cares more about attention than facts is the perfect foil to Clark Kent and Lois Lane who act as reliable reporters that care about the truth rather than gaining publicity and spreading cynical viewpoints for attention, which is very relevant with the times of a modern try hard influencer. In my opinion shes a very underrated Superman villain that has a lot of potential in other media outside of this show as if she was reimagined today she'd totally be one of those podcasters or online celebrities who perpetuate hate and nihilism just for attention and popularity

Livewire was actually an original creation for the show, just like Harley Quinn was for Batman: The Animated Series was and due to how popular the character was here, she is now a canon/official DC comic book character making multiple appearances and fighting heroes like Superman, Supergirl and even Batgirl in countless stories. I also really love her origin of being a shock jock reporter who cares more about attention than facts is the perfect foil to Clark Kent and Lois Lane who act as reliable reporters that care about the truth rather than gaining publicity and spreading cynical viewpoints for attention, which is very relevant with the times of a modern try hard influencer. Little Mermaid is Disney and this is WB, no way they'd product place it. Also it was years old at this point, it wouldn't make sense to me advertising it instead of a movie that was coming out around the time this aired.

Live wire doesn’t escape at the new because she’s in a semi-catatonic state, we never see her recover from it in the show but we do in one of the comics. One of her nurses leaves the radio on a channel playing some sexist shock jock which subconsciously infuriates Livewire enough that she wakes up and hijacks all of Metropolis’ airwaves so that only women are allowed to use them. While the A Plot is obviously Superman dealing with Livewire the B Plot is Angela Chen, one of Lois’ friends and a fellow Daily Planet reporter, finally getting an opportunity to present the news as a result and doing a really good job, only to have the microphone immediately swiped from her again as soon as Livewire is arrested.

I slighlty disagree about continuity in film, I don't think it's that important. For example Martin Scorsese's films often has continuity "errors" yet they don't detract from the films or ruing the immersion of the films.
