I love how this show doesn't just stick to major villains, and the impressive attention to detail. Psycho dating Giganta makes sense when you realize they're both part of Wonder Woman's rogues gallery, and even Giganta's kinda stilted speech makes sense when you realize she's only been human for a relatively short while.

Reasons to love Harley Quinn just from this episode alone: 1) Dr. Psycho as a misogynistic napoleonic asshole played by Tony Hale aka Buster Bluth, who then gets CANCELLED by the Legion Of Doom! 2) Clayface as an extremely overly theatrical thespian actor played by Alan Tudyk, Jesus that guy has range. 3) Wanda Sykes as the Queen of Fables turned into a tax book with the gingerbread man saying “At least I’m not out on the street turning tricks for cash anymore.” 4)Harley dropping a Wu-Tang quote!

Yeah I hear many different words are either less offense or more offense compare to the UK and America. I heard the word ”bender” use to be a very homophobic word in the UK, so much so the title for Avatar:the later Airbender had to change there title (to Avatar:the adventures of aang.)

Yeah, Queen of Fables is a genuine Justice League villain. I'm a little back and forth on whether imprisoning her in the tax code was the best example they could have used for the glass ceiling women face, given that Superman has trapped Darkseid in the Source Wall before and others in the Phantom Zone because there are villains who are just too powerful for any normal prison to hold, including Fables, but I get what they're trying to say. If you'll notice, the Legion of Doom has only one female member and that's Cheetah. The only female villain well-known and powerful enough to make the cut is the archenemy of the most popular female superhero on earth. That is a sign we could use some more big name female bad guys, or at least have the ones that exist get more attention.

Though I only remember her at the wedding, as a guest of Ivy's, so she wouldn't necessarily be in the LOD in that case. Was she at a Legion meeting that I'm forgetting about?

This show gets into some deep lore at times. The Queen of Fables was originally introduced in the 90s and was indeed defeated when the Justice League (Flash specifically) forced her into a tax code book instead of her storybook. Dr. Psycho was created to be a misogynist in opposition to Wonder Woman's feminism. The original Clayface in the 1940s was indeed an actor named Basil Karlo (a nod to Boris Karloff). The villain creating portals was sorcerer Felix Faust. Maxie Zeus is a minor Batman villain, a mobster who thinks he's Zeus. And Catwoman did have henchmen on a regular basis in the 50s, 60s and 70s. In the 80s, she helped Batman track down her old henchmen and arrested them. By the late 80s, she was revised to mainly be a solo villain as she had been when first introduced.

I know Maxie Zeus is a Batman villain, so there isn't a lot of overlap with other heroes, but I can't help but find his existence weird in a world that also has Wonder Woman in it. You have a regular guy who genuinely believes he's the reincarnation of the Greek God Zeus (because he's just as crazy as the rest of the Bat-rogues)...in a world of one of the most famous heroes of all time whom has literally met the real Zeus. Just...what do those two characters think of each other?

I'd say the main reason this show works for me is it allows Harley to fail. She doesn't just dance over everyone because girl power, and the show doesn't feel the need to put the male characters down to make her look better. The writing makes it clear that Batman would easily kick her ass and that doesn't make Harley seem weak at all. I also like that Harley takes on Dr Psycho, he obviously doesn't deserve it but that kind of humility makes Harley very likeable.

C word = "cunt": offensive term used in reference to a female vagina. Considered a particularly explicit and sexist insult in America for honestly very little reason.(which is kinda the joke here.) N word = "nigger": offensive term adapted from "negro" used in reference to African Americans. This one has alot more impact as it was a term used explicitly to dehumanize slaves and touches on racial tensions present to this day. Related is the term "Nigga" which can be used as an extremely informal term of endearment among African Americans but bears enough resemblance to "Nigger" as to be considered distasteful in most settings and especially so if the speaker is another race.
