@Brian Rodriguez He wanted to use the tools he had access to, not turn blink into AvA. Sure there were hints of Ava but still very much blink. Mark and Travis wanted to go down shitty path of working with other writers. Which they did and now the music is forgettable, nothing memorable these days.

@Wise Man What the fuck are you talking about, "I Miss You" is one of the most successful singles of their career and in their top 3 all time hits, right next to "Small Things" and "WMAA". Plus, Blink wouldn't have held on to their prime anyway. The early to mid 2000s were the peak of the pop punk era. After that the scene has pretty much faded away from the mainstream scene along with its biggest bands.

I can’t really pick any one album pretty much all of them you can listen through without skipping a track. IMO “Take Off” has one of the best guitar tones not just for blink but of all time as far as rock bands go it’s a super thick clean distortion not gritty not fuzzy I just love it, I don’t like gritty fuzzy distortion I like smooth distortion with a thick tone with mids that growel and a tight punchy low end People like to talk about all these classic rock albums like they are the best tones and don’t get me wrong many are absolutely AMAZING and some you can tell were good tones but recorded with crap equipment and sound dated.
