That’s the case for most people lol Tom is a rare exception…his voice got deeper in his thirties….which he likes….he didn’t like his voice until it got lower in his 30’s….he was self conscious about his higher voice and thought he sounded like a child/chipmunk…he’s still shocked that people liked his younger voice

It’s actually possible that he was hanging out with him. Just like my other comment there was more to the story about why Scott was fired. Obviously it’s well documented that Scott had a drinking problem but they probably really liked Travis and just used the drinking as an excuse to fire Scott. No matter what happened I can’t help but feel for Scott. 1 year after he was fired blink because a household name. He did get a good taste of the band blowing up and has made money but he probably thinks about what his life would be like if he was still in the band. However he still did accomplish a lot by the age of 20. Not many 20 year olds have came close to accomplishing what he did.

Cryo Judgement you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. Dammit was their breakthrough hit in late 1997. Scott was still in the band till about April 1998 so he was still there when they were being played on radio and TV. Sure, enema was even more of a hit album but to say that it’s their breakthrough is wrong. Dude Ranch is the breakthrough album.

I agree with you 100% but In terms of technicality and just mechanical skill travis is better. His chops are so much faster, so much more intricate, and in my opinion better to listen to. I love the older albums but the older stuff just doesent have as much personality in my opinion

Scott didn't want to sell out to a major record label, and obviously Tom and Mark did. Travis Barker was also better suited to mainstream pop punk direction Blink 182 were going in. Scott Raynor being kicked out of the Band was purely political. Scott is a more DIY punk drummer, more skatepunk style.

It’s late at night after a show on tour and they have journalists and a tv crew on their tour bus…which is their house basically….interviewing them asking questions they’ve been asked before a bunch of times….none of them want to do an interview when they probably want to relax (smoke some weed, drink a few alcoholic beverages, take a shit and shower and go to bed)….tom is straight up avoiding the entire interview and only chimes in to say it’s his band lol…Scott isn’t used to entertaining on a mic…plus Scott lived with mark’s family, blink 182 spent 24/7 together for 5 years at this point, cowrote all the songs, and plays all the shows with mark and tom….its not like he’d have a different answer the mark and there isnt much for him to add after mark answers the questions…Scott, mark, Tom were literally best friends…
