Feel free to correct me but I noticed a trend. Tom written songs contain alot of picking. Mark written songs contain alot more strumming.

@TheBlackMambaa2482 жыл бұрын
@@Lucas500llthat’s not 100% true but yes in most cases it is. Carousel, the first song they wrote together, was mostly Mark’s writing on guitar and bass from what I understand. Tom sings on it. But you’re right in terms of their later stuff after dude ranch. It’s mostly whoever wrote it sings it. Which I almost wish they would stray from a bit. But oh well.

You just can’t get that guitar tone these days. Even better than anything from Greenday. Aside from the other pop punk bands, Blink always had an incomparable sound to them.’

Sounds great! I think the album versions recorded were from a Les Paul with Humbucker pickups. The live shows were with a ES-333 or Strat, but neither were used for the records…..Took me a hot minute to figure that out.

My guess is that it’s too hard to sing, no time to breathe. But if mark sings the lower backup harmony in the chorus, it would definitely work. That’s what they did for rollercoaster at the “I had that dream part”

Got a quick question, I have an Ernie ball Music Man Benji Madden guitar it has a single humbucker a DiMarzio custom wound pickup in it I was thinking of getting an invader or SH 1'59 what would be better for just punk rock?

Eh, they all work. The pickups are what you should be thinkg about. Humbuckers are more versatile for pop punk but plenty of people used teles with single coils. With that being said, strats tend to sound more bright while les pauls tend to be more meaty. You can get bright or meaty sounds out of both though
