Growing up is realizing that you don't grow up, you just grow old. Your mind stays the same unless you let the physical, material world alter your perception on life. As your mental health deteriorates and your body begins to fail you, growing up is growing out. Growing up is accepting that you have a great influence on those around you no matter how small or insignificant you may think you are; what you do and say matters. Growing up is understanding while tomorrow is important, today is now and you will never get that back. Rock on punks!

Bro I’m glad I’m not the only one going through this specific scenario. I’m still in the same neighborhood that I grew up in but all my friends either moved away, lost their minds, or died. And I’m just solo dolo now. I miss looking forward to getting blazed with the homies after school, or getting drunk, having fighting game sessions or jamming out in our little bands then going for a nice skate trip. Good times.

I am writing here straight from Russia. I am only 15 years old and I cannot express my feelings in words when I first heard blink-182 with their album "Dude Ranch" (I clearly remember that it was May 2020). The song that plays above has sunk into my soul and involuntarily makes me smile from the vibe that was in those days. Thanks a lot for your creativity, blink. We are, It's just not in the genre you want it to be. Emo rappers like Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert etc are VERY influenced by pop punk and you can hear the influence. They just derive their style from punk rock to the hip hop genre instead. It might not be what you like but at least you know the sound isn't dead and plenty of the Gen Z generation listen to this genre and are influenced by it.

Du Riechst So Gut so your comment is marked as spam for some reason and I can not make it normal again. For the people that cant see his comment he asked me "if its stuck in your head why didn't you look up the lyrics" My response is that the part that was stuck in my head had no lyrics. It was the calm guitar part that started around 2:04 and ended at around 2:20 I couldn't remember any other part of the song and actually did not know that it was even rock until I heard another song similar to it and remembered the rest of the song.

The music was basically the best part and I wanted more like it. Then it happened. Someone out there compared it to pop-punk bands like Blink. Starting listening to them through iTunes previews, then I started listening on KZbin... and I never looked back. I'm not like most Blink fans - I'm a 14-year-old who's currently in Year 9, riding the Switch hype train instead of the N64 hype train. But I still love this band. Happy 20th anniversary, Dammit.

Crazy how that one opening riff just brings back a tidal wave of memories and emotions. I can even smell the Manic Panic hair dye and taste the Surge.

Dang I miss the 90's and early 2000's This reminds me of going to "Parties" in 6th grade. Good times. I miss being an 11 or 12 year old just discovering girls and listening to music like this. That was good times. Now I'm old and 30 !

I'm talking about R.I.P he is not in the band anymore. Not R.I.P death xD I wanna know why he left the band , I read & I've being searching for answers, it seems they kick him out from the band bc of he's alcohol problem. But I don't know :(

Sorry if I came on too harsh :) but yeah it was because of that, his alcoholism, the song Man Overboard pretty much explains everything

It's ok :D, yeah that's what I though when I heard man overboard. I still wondering about Scott , I mean Travis it's awesome!! but Scott was the first drummer & he was very fast on the drums, great drummer! I had the first CD from blink 182, my brother gave it to me for my birthday, I was 9. then he took away my CD bc he said it was his treasure xDD does Scott still playing.in a band ?

I was 5 when this came out. I was 13 when me and my friends were listening to this. Was one year from moving away without even knowing it with all my friends who would later in life tell me stuff like "we are at this age when the lyrics of our favorite songs start making sense". It's oddly terrifying how all these little messages about not taking stuff for granted and learning to move on was the background to my innocent crazy teen years and we never even thought about the lyrics. And hearing this now brings a smile to my face and it quickly devolves into profoundly depressing...

It’s almost year 2024 but this song transcends any era. It doesn’t really look like a classic for me. It’s just a top hit forever. I’m a fan since I was a little boy. Now I’m a 35 year old man and “I guess this is growing up…” Thank you so much guys ♥️

Had to come back to remember how good Blink really is after hearing “ I really want to hate you”. Should have put that song on a very deep B side.
