Growing up is realizing that you don't grow up, you just grow old. Your mind stays the same unless you let the physical, material world alter your perception on life. As your mental health deteriorates and your body begins to fail you, growing up is growing out. Growing up is accepting that you have a great influence on those around you no matter how small or insignificant you may think you are; what you do and say matters. Growing up is understanding while tomorrow is important, today is now and you will never get that back. Rock on punks!

We are, It's just not in the genre you want it to be. Emo rappers like Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert etc are VERY influenced by pop punk and you can hear the influence. They just derive their style from punk rock to the hip hop genre instead. It might not be what you like but at least you know the sound isn't dead and plenty of the Gen Z generation listen to this genre and are influenced by it.

I have had the slow part at 2:04 stuck in my head for a year now and could not for the life of me find this song, but then someone played an instrumental version of the song in their video and I remembered that it was the rest of the song... It feels SO GOOD to finally figure out what song has been stuck in my head FOR THE PAST 12 FUCKING MONTHS!!!
@radioffvoicesnoysyvisionna76438 жыл бұрын
totally agree the slow down part is awesome and it is what makes this song great. Otherwise it wouldhave been the same 4 chords progression. That one, instead, gives the song "breath"
@radioffvoicesnoysyvisionna76438 жыл бұрын
sorry I thought you were referring to the other part, anyway even the one you mentioned is great but is typical blink 182, they overuse those clean to come back in a climax to the main riffing Anyway my last comment was referring to the part that goes "someone to understand ecc"
@pmaguire138 жыл бұрын
Du Riechst So Gut so your comment is marked as spam for some reason and I can not make it normal again. For the people that cant see his comment he asked me "if its stuck in your head why didn't you look up the lyrics" My response is that the part that was stuck in my head had no lyrics. It was the calm guitar part that started around 2:04 and ended at around 2:20 I couldn't remember any other part of the song and actually did not know that it was even rock until I heard another song similar to it and remembered the rest of the song.

He wrote the song in a key that was slightly out of his vocal range so he had to really strain to sing it. Also back then he was a heavy smoker which didn't help so that's why his performance on this track sounds a lot more raw and distorted. He was really giving it his all.

20 years. 20. Years. WOW it's been a long time since Dude Ranch came out. I was in in Year 7, in 2015, when I fell in love with Splatoon. Still love the game, and the music. The music was basically the best part and I wanted more like it. Then it happened. Someone out there compared it to pop-punk bands like Blink. Starting listening to them through iTunes previews, then I started listening on KZbin... and I never looked back. I'm not like most Blink fans - I'm a 14-year-old who's currently in Year 9, riding the Switch hype train instead of the N64 hype train. But I still love this band. Happy 20th anniversary, Dammit.

I was 5 when this came out. I was 13 when me and my friends were listening to this. Was one year from moving away without even knowing it with all my friends who would later in life tell me stuff like "we are at this age when the lyrics of our favorite songs start making sense". It's oddly terrifying how all these little messages about not taking stuff for granted and learning to move on was the background to my innocent crazy teen years and we never even thought about the lyrics. And hearing this now brings a smile to my face and it quickly devolves into profoundly depressing...
