Basketball star Brittney Griner is heading back to the U.S. in a prisoner swap with Russia. In exchange for Griner, the U.S. released Viktor Bout, a convicted arms dealer known as the "Merchant of Death." Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with CBS News senior foreign affairs correspondent and "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan about the decision. Brennan and CBS News senior White House and political correspondent Ed O'Keefe join "Red and Blue" to discuss the reaction to the deal.

You know that happened at the tail end of Trumps presidency, right? It was already happening before Biden took office. Besides, how many years was we over there? We made absolutely no progress, and it was no longer fiscally responsible to be there. As for the millions in equipment left behind. Ammo dumps are blown up. And outposts with vehicles are not going to be in use. All get disabled before the withdrawal. It's not cost-effective to ship it back to the States or off to another theater. It's not our fault the local U.S. trained military folded faster than a house of cards. They wanted the Taliban in charge.
