As an athlete, one who (if im not mistaken) had already traveled to Russia several times, may not have had the foresight to understand the complexity and the standing situation between the US and Foreign relations especially that of Russia. Approaching the airport for my return, I happened to mention, with excitement, 'gosh what a souvenir'!!! Thankfully and with God's grace, my friend highlighted that it was illegal to travel with!!! Never crossed my mind with the innocence of it all!!! Looking back now, it was one of the dumbest miscalculations I could have ever made!!!
