But they also understand that surrendering to a genocidal state that has, since its inception, been working to exterminate their people isn’t going to suddenly improve their people’s situation. Also, Netanyahu has made it clear that he’s going to continue the war whether or not they accept a deal, so what exactly will be gained through unilateral surrender? Especially when, militarily speaking, the resistance is still coming out ahead. I found this in a previous comment I made. Hezbollah not only opposes the government and policies of the State of Israel, but also each and every Jewish civilian who lives in Israel. Its 1985 manifesto reportedly states "our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated. We recognize no treaty with it, no ceasefire, and no peace agreements." Until told otherwise I'm going to assume some Hamas charter has similar language. No ceasefire.
