If I'm being honest, I'd genuinely say the Brunswick Arc may be 1 of the best Arcs in RWBY to date. V3 still takes the top spot to me but I honestly think this Arc is very close/rivals the fall of Beacon. It's just so increadibly relateable (for me especially since Apathy is a lifestyle I've fallen way too deep into...) and together with the impossible quest reveal to the cast, it all just fits together so well. Definitely will be one of my favourite arcs for a *very* long time. Nice to see you back here too haha

The Apathy is definitely the best villains in volume 6. Such great Intresting monster design. One of my favourite parts about their creation is the fact miles took inspiration from serenity, which is a movie from the firefly series. I can relate to this particular story so very much. For a while, the only way through each work day was to repeat a mantra. "Think nothing, feel nothing, be nothing. You are nothing, as long as you are here." I'm afraid that nothing we do here matters, unless we can defeat an impossible enemy, time and death themselves, before we are sucked into the empty void the universe came from.

[Rant]DUUUUDE! How come your computer just breaks like that? no fair. I missed your videos, wtf. I thought you died or some shit, never disappear like that again.[/rant] Now, back to the video. I totally agree with everything... most of the time i too felt uneasy and tired, and that part when you said "it was out of character" i thought that but couldn't bring it to words, and it made their journey more realistic, because they never took a step back to think what they were really getting into, even if salem WAS killable, we are talking about killing the "mother of grimm", and they went head-on like this was a vacation trip, even AFTER Pyrrha's and Penny's deaths... the shock was necessary so we could start taking RWBY Series more seriously. This episode was so good, but unfortunately (and to surprise a total of 0 fans) they messed things all over again. I do feel like they are improving, but SO GODDAMN SLOWLY... they are TRYING to make ruby a proper protagonist, and when i get my hopes up here comes miles and kerry to destroy everything, again. I believe they are taking all the criticism to heart, but they lack experience for the task and things are now too fast for them to handle so they need a break (HELLO ADAM). And things got worse because this was the first finale i wasn't happy or sad, or anything... i was apathetic. (pun intended) On a side note (and speaking of which) it's okay for you to take a break and breathe, but next time try to warn us that you're alive, so we don't worry something happened to you, ok? (ok i just saw that you actually warned us, and for some stupid reason i didn't see that... my bad)

i love how people can reach this hard to make fodder sound interesting, any threat that can be killed in hone hit by a majority of the heroes who aren't even engaging their special abilities makes for a very weak enemy to go up against. The storm troopers are fodder for example but have the numbers and resources over the rebels as well as two powerful sith lords at the helm so are still a threat to most of the world. The grimm are weak, goal oriented creatures who at the most manage to hit a character who's on screen or kill characters we know nothing about, it doesn't help either that none of the villains but Salem are any threat at all and on most occasions lose in their own right multiple times, that and the grimm don't listen to any of the villains but Salem so they really aren't a force that can be lead by the villains as a whole Finally Salem isn't menacing or oppressive, people get on just fine even with her scheming for years, it also doesn't help that her backstory is legit being the wizard tropes ex gf who hates the gods for being meanies but yeah, i get it the Apathy were the only EFFECTIVE GRIMM but only if ever again managed to kill fodder nobodies off screen prior to their appearance. When faced 7 potential victims they just can't catch a break simply cause the main characters happened to show up.
@ProxyDoug6 жыл бұрын
Personally, I found it was a bad moment for that arc since the characters were already giving up on their quest before reaching the farm. Also, the arc was "inspired" by Joss Whedon's 2003 film Serenity. I know Miles twitted about it, but I think more people should know about that since this arc gets so much praise.

The video is good, but some things questionable and I hope you would understand what I am saying 1.) Your definition of horror is somewhat bland. The strength of horror lies in the unfiltered truth about the dark subject matters, unlike dark fantasy where we only get a glimpse because it is only for show 2.) The placement of the Apathy Grimm is my biggest nitpick since they could an obstacle at the ruined city near Mount Glenn in volume 2. It would give our heroes and villains to do, and we know why that city is abandoned and no one huntsmen ever returned from that ruin. It is one perfect way to integrate the Grimm, while not feeling out of placed 3.) The characters defeated by the Grimm who pose no physical threat would be embarrassing, yes I know about the psychological powers of making people sleepy, but their powers were stop by the use of silver eyes. Which symbolises the moon, ironically, could even vaporise the Grimm if near Ruby in a 3 meter radius I think 4.) The filler arc, (and yes it is filler, accept it), being better than the main story is more embarrassing than the MC’s losing to the Apathy Grimm, since it shows that Miles and Kerry can’t write something the didn’t even created 5.) The purpose of the Farm arc was to show Ruby’s Lazer eye powers, and show the apathy Grimm, so M&K could throw the concept at their writing bin. Even though the climax was anticlimactic itself 6.) Aside from Ruby getting a new power-up and the identity of Maria. None of the characters even developed at all that isn’t I’m sleepy Hey, at least it is less contradicting and illogical than your videos on Plot Holes and your review in Infinity War

Jake Santiago yeah. You really don’t understand what filler is. Filler arcs in anime are original anime arcs created to give time to the manga. You can skip it and nothing would be lost. If you skip this arc you miss important character development and set up that is used later.
@jakesantiago37406 жыл бұрын
Vicente 810, what kind of character development did happen in the abandoned farm Qrow’s alcoholism? It did nothing to him but make him look weak from the ONLY adult capable of keeping the teenagers safe from salem’s chaos syndicate Ruby’s powers? The power outbursts from volume 3 and 5 could be retroactively fit in the last half of volume 6 The characters’ melancholy? It’s not caused by the MC’s lack of faith to Ozpin, but by the Grimm and its just really lazy The Apathy Grimm? Miles said that it won’t fit in other scenario besides in this filler arc. So we won’t see them ever again, if they’re doing another horror-based story arc ever again The things I listed are artificial plot points made in this filler arc, which who have been put in anyway if the animators finished modelling Argus before episode 3. Nothing would have changed if the Farm was taken out
