Question came to mind: What if you are in a situation like new computer, and new modem and new internet connection. You need to be able to acces your modem settings via browser before you get internet acces to start using your online MS account. An oopsie ???

5:49 you said if you don't have the windows update key right here, you have to create that too, it would have been nice if you showed how to created it 😞

Seriously? You’re asking about that? Just right-click on the Windows folder, go to ‘New Key,’ and name it ‘WindowsUpdate.’ Come on

Cyber... What version was that? I have a machine (Win 10 Home) that failed on CPU and TPM. After finding it on a laptop and doing some digging - I tried this (maybe I missed something or a typo). We chatted on our (yours and mine) theories on budget builds - you from your potato replacement and this PC of what I speak. After I got the build built - Windows asked me again. I declined. I don't know the subtities of Home Vs Professional in both versions of Windows. You are probably right and I wrong, but it did tell me I was entitled to a free upgrade to 11 - AFTER I thought, at least I believe I set the policy. Microsoft doesn't play by the rules they create. I dunno bro... IDK....

Can also disable TPM driver in device manager and Microsoft will not see the laptop as Windows 11 supported.

I did the same thing, not updating to Windows 11, I decided when to do the installation. I had a problem with Windows 11, an error that gave me that the memory cannot be read and for nothing in the world I could fix it, I went back to Windows 10.😮😮

On the usual setting page I kept pressing stay on Windows 10 worked for a while. Then yesterday turned on machine and the start screen was looking different, the update now or schedule. I tried schedual, hoping to set some future point after I copied my files on to something else not cloud. But the only schedule options were next time it checks for updates or next time it's turned on. Grr coercive control much! I went round scheduled and back a few times then it Finnish showed a new prompt DECLINE UPDATE unsure of this was reversible later and with no other ways to get off this loop, I did long press on the power button to just close the system. If I am able to restart it, is that 'decline Howard's a permanent response, or is that going to be asking me that each time I turn on?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have a very limited data capacity and have been completely unable to use my laptop due to the constant download of the virus know as Windows 11. I will also be applying this patch to my non-11 compatible computers to prevent future issues.

I am a victim of this auto-upgrade!! I lost my lifetime critical data-- having nightmares!! Rich, could you give me some tips on how to recover the highly critical data I lost due to the Windows 11 (auto) upgrade from 10? I had my Desktop location pointing to Windows.old from a prior re-loading of Windows 10. The directory "Windows.old\Users\Owner" had all my Desktop files. Now this folder "Users\Owner" does not exist in my current Windows.old. Any hope at all?! I wish I had seen this video 2 weeks ago!! Thank you so much!!

Microsoft just forced an upgrade on my system to 11. It did everything on it's own while I was away from the desk. As a result, it removed the partition table on one of my unrelated drives, leaving me with the options of either lose all my data on that drive or pay about $70 just to get the software I will need in order to rebuild the partition table for that drive. Microsoft was zero help, and kept trying to get me to do a clean install off of a USB to "fix" it. So...losing everything to not fix what they screwed up? screw that, they make a very good argument for switching to Linux...

My PC doesn't meet the requirements, however I still get a full screen AD saying this PC does not meet requirements and goes on about Windows 10 end of life and can still use it till Oct 2025.
@kensmith56946 ай бұрын
That is just there way of saying you need to either go buy an expensive new computer or switch to Linux. You have time to decide it you want to feed your kids or buy that computer.
