With having had problems previously with Auto Tune, I posted a vid a little bit ago documenting the struggle. The results? You all posting up with some great ideas and advice!
I took that advice and made a few videos, documenting me working my way through the Auto Tuning process.
In this vid, I go on a ride up to the garage, pushing the bike through different riding styles while running Auto Tune.

I had the same surprise at the first stop light on my first auto tune. My buddy told me to get stop/stop learning out of the way on a side road, "Apply" and then go out on the main roads. Lesson learned.

Hey guys...After you install the FP3 and connect the blue tooth, find the map closest to your setup (exhaust, air, etc.) and flash that map to your bike. Start auto tune, go ride for a day or two!! Try to hit as many rpm's in each gear as you can, to get the squares greened'. When you have most of the squares greened' up, turn auto tune off. The FP3 will flash that map automatically to your bike. Worked great for my 2015 heritage.

good to see AT is starting to work for you. I just finished mine, and bike runs great. I found that running pulls in 3 and 4 gear gets those upper RPM and higher throttle values. Also, decel parts after pull, hold throttle at lower openings to learn those not so easy values. I do a lot of slow maneuver drills in parking lot to also help populate those areas.

Went out today on a 130 mile autotune ride applied 3 times during the ride before finishing the autotune session. What a difference the autotune did for my bike. Smooth out all the areas it had with the map I flashed for the 2014 Harley 1200T with Vance and Hines Straight shots HS and the Screaming Eagle Round big twin air cleaner. Could not be happier with results so much better than just the can map.

Just purchased a VO2 air cleaner & FP4. Been looking at different videos on how to use. I’m excited to pair them with my freedom performance slip ons on my twin cam 96 FatBob. I’m looking into getting the V&H big radius soon

I would like to know what is the best map for a Harley Forty-eight 1200cc, 2014 model with / Vance & Hines Shortshots Stepped exhaust, Harness Big Suker stage II high flow filter, there is a good mapping for these accessories , in terms of performance, good sound and power that is already pre established. Arlen Ness ones? Just got mine in the mail today, w00t! I was basing my auto tune map off the base map w/ baffles, didn't work. Maybe you should try what I did (base it off no baffles map) and see if it works out for you!

If you don't add a fp3 and you have high flow air filter and after market exhaust is it bad for the bike?

Yes, it is not good for the bike because the computer is still feeding fuel to the throttle body as set for a stock air filter. Bike will run like shit. You can go with a high output exhaust and stock air filter and the bike will perform fine. But you can't go with changing to high air flow filter with out reprogramming the computer. I run the fp3 and it's the best 400 dollars I've spent on the bike.

80 deg....lmao.. we feel lucy when it hits 50 up here in MD..so freaking jealous you all get to ride all year basically . have uploaded to VH for them to take a look. seems your having issues getting it set just right. is it worth the hassle of having to keep running auto tune. my FP# was shipped today. I'm planning on installing it with stock exhaust and intake at least for now. do you have to run auto tune? wont the pre installed tunes work? enjoy watching you go through these events with it.. freakin 80 in FL...wtf 40s up here I'm hatting right now srry...lol

Don't get too jealous, our summers here is like standing in an oven! Sessions are going well w/ FP3 so far, the bike is learning. Interesting process for sure. Grats on the FP3! You don't have to run auto tune, the pre installed ones do work (aka: canned maps.) I was just getting really bad MPG's w/ the canned maps.

ill take your summers any day...love the heat 90 plus are nice. we just don't get them as long as you all do. not sure if I'm gonna stay with fp3 Harley dealer says they the power vision tuner is better and they will set it all up and tune it while on dyno they say the fp3 is good but they would go with the other..sooo I debate if I should keep it or return it....hmmmm lol

It works when your bars are low. I had 16" apes and did that, the mirrors were useless.

Ok so I have a 2019 iron 883, and I've done the oil changes myself, I've checked the sparkplug, and there's been a few times when I start the bike up it'll Rev kinda high for a few min then it stops what would cause that, an my 883 is all stock so no bluetooth or anything would the app help solve the problem or what do I need to do?

All bikes idle high when they first start, my 883 from factory will sit at 1900rpms for a minute or so and then it’ll idle back down. I wait till it idles down to ride it. Cold weather it’ll rev a bit higher.

Its a NARROW BAND tuner which means it may get you in the ball park of a good tune but its nothing like a wide band tune as in a real dyno tune with either O2 sensors or a tail pipe sniffer. Not to mention with this unit your driving it around while its tuning, which means as you ride it could be lean, or rich etc... on a dyno if you see it running rich or lean you stop immediately , make adjustments and try again. With this its possibly going to cause engine damage while it drives down the road popping, missing and not running right as it "learns" the fuel curve. Cool idea and concept but NOT IDEAL... Not to mention watching these videos it looks like it takes hundreds of miles or more.. silly really

What happens if phone dies during AT?

Suh! Auto Tune isn't dependent on the phone, it's just an interface that you use to see and program it. AutoTune stays running on the FP3 whenever the bike's on and the FP3 has been put in AutoTune mode. So I don't need the phone for it to continue AutoTune if it's already running. Only need the phone to see the map and apply / make changes.
